January 12

Every last one of us is in need of a loving

Hand--not a permissive hand, and not a hand

That strikes out, but one that soothes and stops short

Of clutching. The human condition is a result of

Disobedience. Every rule has been broken--every

Law written or unwritten--has been ignored. I'm-

Balances, injustices, broken hearts, and instability are

Part of the human condition.

Where is the loving hand? It is within us. When

We forgive, when we speak kindly, we set ourselves

Free. We are part of every loving hand. Though the

Bad may get worse and the good will become

Better, we decide which--good or bad--we will be.

You must speak straight so that your words may go

As sunlight into our hearts.
