Guest guest
I use the Ancient Minerals form of Mg Oil http://www.magneticclay.com/store/Departments/Ancient-Minerals-Magnesium-Oil.aspx I have not heard of anyone making Mg Oil. This stuff is harvested from the ocean I believe. Steph Bulk Magnesium Chloride...and Magnesium Oil Hello , and everybody, I am excited to be learning and healing from the abundant information I've gleaned from this group. This is my first posting though I've been reading and taking my Lugols 2%...6 drops a day, (with the co factors) since late July. I started low dosage, and yesterday received a bottle of Lugol's 5% from J.Crows. I'm happy to say it wasn't too bad at 6 drops in 8 oz. water. Not too fond of taking pills, I am choosing the liquid and finding it tolerable. I'm currently healthy on many levels, but have had symptoms of imbalance for years.(Restless chi, leg cramps, heart palps, visual migrains.) Those symptoms have mostly dissapeared, except during recent local agricultural burning of nut tree prunings. (They are sprayed with fumigants and fungicides annually and are transmuted when burned and inhailed). I am a massage therapist who would love to use magnesium oil on clients. I have been looking online for a way to make this oil. I found bulk Mag.Chloride : http://www.icemelters.com/mag.htm http://www.icemelters.com/pricemag.htm The link was on a forum for fish aquarium users who wanted to grow coral naturally. I thought that was pretty interesting. Also it's used to melt ice on roads, etc... without the corosion factor of sodium chloride and is said to be safe for humans, plants and animals . It is available in pellets, and flakes. I've also been researching Magnesium chloride hexahydrate. I have read it was toxic though I imagine the product that is sold to be sprayed on the skin must be greatly diluted??? I wonder, has anyone tried making this magnesium oil? I am seeking advice before investing in many pounds of Magnesium Chloride. Kind regards, and many thanks, Lani Lila "What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. Guest guest
Here is where the mg oil is from: Where Does Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil Come From? Ancient Minerals ultra pure magnesium oil is extracted from the Ancient Zechstein Seabed in Europe, 1600 to 2000 meters deep in the interior of the Earth. Well protected for the last 250 million years, it is the most pure magnesium oil in the world and a mark of purity on every bottle of Ancient Minerals. Guest guest
Thanks for the link Steph, I see Ancient Minerals offers the flakes of Mg. 32 lbs for 150.00. http://www.magneticclay.com/store/Departments/Ancient-Minerals- Magnesium-Bath-Flakes.aspx The product used to melt ice is also advertised to be from the Dead Sea and is $49. for 50#. Seems pretty reasonable . I would love to see a chemical analysis of both products. http://www.icemelters.com/pricemag.htm Kind regards, Lani Lila > > I use the Ancient Minerals form of Mg Oil http://www.magneticclay.com/store/Departments/Ancient-Minerals- Magnesium-Oil.aspx I have not heard of anyone making Mg Oil. Guest guest
Hi , I bought this product too but now am wondering why I let myself be lured into buying something with chloride in it. Is this chloride somehow safe and not a halide that will bump iodine out? Thanks for help. Hope I haven't wasted my money. Guest guest
Thanks very much! Guest guest
I've heard you use nigari to make mag oil. It is also used to make tofu. If you google it you can probably info. I haven't tried it but I have been investigating it. Guest guest
I use the Mag Chloride oil in my tub. Not often but when I do, even though it's only 1/2 cup, my skin is very dry - white dry. Anyone else? I put coconut oil on my arms and legs but afraid of clogging my pours. Wish it didn't do that. Anyone have suggestions? Guest guest
Hello Shelli, I read yesterday about making the oil, though it didn't mention nigari. I've been familiar with Nigari through friends who make tofu. " Magnesium chloride is an important coagulant used in the preparation of tofu from soy milk. In Japan it is sold as nigari (the term is derived from the Japanese word for " bitter " ), a white powder produced from seawater after the sodium chloride has been removed, and the water evaporated. In China it is called " lushui " (±ˮ in Chinese). Nigari or Lushui consists mostly of magnesium chloride, with some magnesium sulfate and other trace elements. It is also an ingredient in baby formula milk. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnesium_chloride I also had a long talk yesterday with the woman from the company that sells Magnesium Chloride...called MAG...for de-icing. Their product is not " food grade " ...but is claimed to be less toxic than baking powder. She is calling me back today regarding shipping. I've decided to order one bag and do some expiramenting. I'll keep you posted. Kind regards, Lani Lila > I've heard you use nigari to make mag oil. It is also used to make tofu. > If you google it you can probably info. Guest guest
I would love to hear what ever you find out. I tried to call them at MAG and got no return call. At these prices, I would love to order from them. I was considering adding the flakes to my bath water. Please post your findings here on the group. > > > > > > > > > Hello , and everybody, > > > > > > I am excited to be learning and healing from the abundant > information > > > I've gleaned from this group.
