Guest guest
Hi Sara Pleased to know you are OK. it must have been scary for you, but at the same time reassuring that the heart is OK and you dont have to worry about the anxiety causing heart problems. Anxiety can be difficult to deal with, as you know better than most. Keep your chin up.... jennyfreeman > Hi > Last night I had to call the out of hours doctor due to pain in the > chest area and increased anxiety, they sent me an ambulance and I ended > up at the hosptial. >
Guest guest
Thanks it was scarey but glad I got it checked out for my own peace of mind, seeing an endo tomorrow and hoping he will do some thyroid tests so I can see what effect the HC has had on my levels, I do think I have may have gone a bit hyper and dont need the thyroid meds or not as much anyway. Must have been a very worrying time for you. The silver lining though is that you can now feel reassured that your heart is ok, which must be a huge relief. Take care x

Guest guest
Hi I suffer with acid reflux and take omeprazole for this and although the pain was in the centre of my chest, just under the rib cage, it felt like my chest but where I said it was indicated to my stomach, I had stopped taking the omeprazole everyday but they said to start taking it everyday. My chest still feels heavy today though but I can rule out it being my heart. I didnt eat a great deal yesterday, the doc said loosing weight would help! > I got it checked out, the pain they seemed to think was stomach >related Hi I meant to ask why they thought it was stomach related and, if so, how exactly? x

I understand about acid reflux. My husband suffers with it and has done for many years. Twice he's been sent to hospital with it by the GP, had all sorts of tests, including treadmills. Both he and the doctor thought it might be heart related but the diagnosis is always acid reflux. x
Guest guest
Hi , Has anyone ever checked your gallbladder for stones, this can cause awful pains in the lower chest area, just in the middle under your ribs? Guest guest
The doc told me that the nerves from the stomach go up into the chest and makes it feel like its heart related, it just has a knock on effect for me because I got anxious and wanted it checking out and all the other worries I have had didnt help > I suffer with acid reflux and take omeprazole for this and although >the pain was in the centre of my chest, just under the rib cage, it >felt like my chest but where I said it was indicated to my stomach,Thanks . Guest guest
I had a check for gallstones many years ago, I dont think the pain was as bad as that can be, thanks anyway. I think they would have looked into that if my symptoms pointed that way Hi ,Has anyone ever checked your gallbladder for stones, this can causeawful pains in the lower chest area, just in the middle under your ribs?Luv Dee>> Hi> Last night I had to call the out of hours doctor due to pain in the > chest area and increased anxiety, they sent me an ambulance and I ended > up at the hosptial. Guest guest
Is there any chance you have sleep apnea - do you wake a night with a start, or gasping, do you snore ???? I had acid reflux so bad I had to sleep upright until I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and the very first night on the c-pap machine and I never had acid reflux again - go figure. You seem to have so much that is causing you distress I dont want to add to all of that - but it may be another piece of the puzzle. Sleep apnea is common with hypothyroid people. Its horrible when your health takes over your life - I can only encourage you to try and interact with anyone not connected with health issues to give yourself a break. Perhaps a trip to the movies if you are up to it. jennyfreeman > > Hi > I suffer with acid reflux and take omeprazole for this and although the pain was in the centre of my chest, , how > exactly? > > x >
Guest guest
You are so very right, am trying not to come on here too much, when I had the pain last night I went straight on the internet and looked up heart attack, then got in a right state. I am my own worst enemy I know that, not sure about sleep apnea, I do snore but dont wake up gasping. After I have been to my appointment tomorrow I am setting my thoughts on my forthcoming holiday. I have worried so much about stopping and starting my T4, starting the HC, it has taken over my mind. I was worried by stopping the T4 I had set myself back but it seems the HC is processing the thyroid hormones and chucks post last night really helped me, is it common practice for an endo to run blood tests when you see them for the first time? at least that way I will see how my levels lie and get a better idea how I stand and see what stopping and starting the T4 has done From: freeman9007 <freemangoldcoast@...>Subject: Re: Went to Hospitalthyroid treatment Date: Tuesday, 23 September, 2008, 11:57 AM jennyfreeman>> Hi> I suffer with acid reflux and take omeprazole for this and althoughthe pain was in the centre of my chest, , how > exactly? > > x>
Guest guest
Hiya thank God your heart is ok. I suffer with the reflux, in fact it triggers my asthma also. I have ordered some DLG licorice for it as I refuse to go back on the proton pumpy thingys (been waiting 14 days for them to arrive ). this licorice doesnt interfere with bp and is supposed to be even good at healing the stomach as well as stopping acid reflux also helps gi tract produce better mucus. I shall let you know how I go on with it. All those years of ppis will have not done the stomach lining good so we shall see. Hope you feel better. lotsa luv and God bless Dawnx
