We had a snow storm over night and it is now just tapering off. The coast got a lot of snow and since we are midcoast we got about 5/6 inches. It is cold today. It was 38 the other day and I just did not think it was warmer at all. Jeff thought it was great! I don't think I am a good judge of what is warmer anymore. Cold is cold is cold to me now. I want South.

This year if you'd been in the south, the only thing you would have missed is the snow. We've had almost the same temps as you for the past few weeks. It's been crazy. My son sent me a picture of snow covering his car down in Palm Beach.

In my beloved Savannah it is only in the sixties and then goes to the forties at night. I know to them that is very cold. For me, Yipee. However, they say once you live in the South for awhile those temps seem very, very cold to you. Perhaps after living there for awhile when it is 65 out I will be bundled up at the barn. I do know that when it is snowing here in March, you guys are getting flowers, aren't you?

I live in S FL you're so right we were below freezing which is quite rare for the sunny south. I didn't hear of any snow from my neighbors just to the north; does he live in Palm Bch or just pulling' your leg? I did hear that it snowed in Tally, however. Let me know I'm quite curious. I'm born and raised here and we love it in the 40's, its the low 30's and 20's

we don't like, of course it also depends on the wind chill

I hate to have to tell you that for almost this whole month, the temps in Savannah never hit 40 degrees, nights in the 20s or lower. We have cold snaps here too, and that's usually the entire south. Like I said, it snowed in Palm Beach. But don't worry, you'll never think that 65 is cold...you have to go to Florida to think that.

No no, he was not pulling my leg--sent me a picture of snow covering his car in which he had written SNOW. They saw flurries as far south as Kendall. Wow, Pam I live right here where it supposedly snowed and I didn't know it, ha ha. Gonna have to ask around as not one person said anything which leads me to believe they didn't see anything either. I'm going to read the article and see if it was widespread or very localized. It snowed here many many years ago when I was in middle school, but as soon as it came down it was gone, the ground was too warm for it and it was a nice sunny day to. Now I understand why we missed it, with us being at the extreme So. FL mixed with rain; sleet, yes we've had that before including ice on the windshields of the vehicles. Central florida around Orlando is where it snowed and if we were in the low 30's high 20's they were probably in the teens, with wind chill lower. Thanks for the info.

I know exactly when it snowed last down there in South Florida. It was Wednesday, January 19, 1977, I lived in Delray Beach. I walked out the door on my way to the day care center and work, and there it was: SNOW. I told my 5-year-old son that it was snowing and he was perplexed; "This is SNOW?" he kept asking. I think he was disappointed. That day it snowed as far south as Miami.

Ladies,

Spring won't feel like it here until perhaps April-May. By the end of March all the snow will be gone. We really haven't had a whole lot of snow which is great by me. But we may get snow or rain this coming weekend. I'd rather have the snow than the rain. But either doesn't really matter.
