Why did Lugol sting my throat?

I've been using Lugol for a few weeks now but mainly on breasts for

before and after surgery. Past 3 days on my thyroid.

I must've done something stupid this p.m. Today I've had breast pain

and so just before bedtime, I took 1 darvocet (none since surgery) and

then I brushed on Lugol on my thyroid as I've done before. All of a

sudden my skin is burning at thyroid location. I don't know why. Has

anyone else had this experiemce? - Nona
