That's kinda scarey isn't it. These pitchers are made of uncured clay I

believe and the clay " sweats " . That's what keeps the water inside so cool, the

latent heat of vaporization. I'd be afraid that I'd get Chlorine in the porous

clay and spoil the taste of the water.

Bottle brushes come in all kinds of sizes and shapes.

I assumed the inside is glazed or all the water would seep out. Of course,

then you have to make sure of your source and that there is no lead in the

glaze.
