Guest guest
Hi Shelia, I have received a response from Dr K on the about.com site saying the webmaster is working on the problem today. I also hope he gets in touch with you via the tpa-uk website I posted to him. Hopefully you will be able to discuss easy access of supplies for UK patients and how hard it is for patients to get GPs to write scripts for dessicated thyroid. He also mentioned that there is a distributor planned for australia as well - so thats good for me !!! jennyfreeman > > Thanks Jen - I have written to him at the address you gave. Guest guest
He wrote to me that the problems are now clear - so girls, if you want to join his forum, go for it. I have written to him and told him that we can buy Armour from America without prescription, but that doctors in the UK are reluctant to give their patient a prescription because they have wrong information, and apparently, don't appear to wish to be enlightened on the correct information. Think they are all too scared of the repercussions from BTA et al. should they dare to do so. He has not mentioned TPA-UK. Guest guest
I also thought it would be a great opportunity to try and work with him to get things changed, being as the Broda group dont cooperate. This fellow has a real interest in getting dessicated thyroid accepted into europe and could be a good ally and future partner in campaigns. He may not know how hard it is to get a doc to work with to get a script, but he may be able to work with you and your knowledge on this. Also having a pharmaceutical Co who may be willing to work on a possible solution and campaigns with tpa-uk has to be worth following up I am sure he will add Tpa-uk now he knows about it.He hasnt linked mary shomon either yet........Its very new jennyfreeman > > He wrote to me that the problems are now clear - so girls, if you want to > join his forum, go for it. Guest guest
Just had another thought - Perhaps he would be interested in sending out a Marketing Pack re the stability of Dessicated Thyroid and how to treat Hypo patients with Dessicated thyroid to all those docs you have sent info out to.(and are clueless) They may take it on board coming from a pharmaceutical co. If you made available your mailing list, you could perhaps be targeting the same people and reinforce the points you are trying to get across. just my 2cents jennyfreeman > > He wrote to me that the problems are now clear - so girls, if you want to > join his forum, go for it. Guest guest
Hi I thought I would exchange a couple of letters with him first so we can get to know each other. I am trying to arrange finance in the UK so researchers can do a clinical trial on Armour v T4 alone. I have been in touch with Professor Lewith who was interested in doing this and we tried to contact Broda as we needed their cooperation, but never once did they respond to either of us, which stopped us going any further. If we could find another source to supply the medication instead of the Broda Organisation, this surely will open the way so doctors can at last get on with such a trial. Softly, softly…. I will also send him my response to the BTA's Statement on Armour Thyroid so he can see how we are working over here in the UK and what we are up against. Many thanks , you are right on the ball, as ever. Luv - Sheila I also thought it would be a great opportunity to try and work with him to get things changed, being as the Broda group dont cooperate. Guest guest
Also I am an ex-pharmaceutical rep, so if he or anyone else (Sheila?!) need advice on promoting and marketing pharmaceuticals in the UK, I might be able to help...
