Guest guest
" ...pick one: Walking, situps/pushups on my exercise ball, sewing/knitting, writing an article, playing with the cats, cycle to buy a magazine, rowing machine and a video, ropework, beading, embroidery, letter to a friend, planning a vacation, new email client to contact, etc. " Irene, you are incredible. Your motivation to " heal " covers many facets. Your " outlets " and " diversions " are amazing. I have spent much time in emotional turmoil, partly because my mother needed a docile daughter to control thereby denigrating people who were " too " assertive and making sure I got the message. Unlike you, I was very fearful of too much " achievement " . Over the years however, I worked thru a lot of this. I think I'm probably much older (67) and have thru the process of elimination narrowed my emotional eating down to specific feelings. Taking credit for your achievements sounds like a " goal " . Remember Irene, it is you who have done the " research " to discover what works/doesn't work. This is hard work. Your accomplishments are yours. Allow yourself to feel that. talk to you soon.
