Guest guest
Anyone know what Dr Peatfield thinks about RT3 and treating it if it's high? In his book he says something about 's syndrome and that he doesn't agree with it. Is this the same thing? Thanks Jonny
Guest guest
No, it isn't the same thing. Dr thinks that all you have to do is clear the RT3 and that person will be completely well again and won't need any further thyroid replacement therapy. His theory is that they have just got themselves stuck in a position of creating too much RT3 and that large doses of T3 will clear it up. Personally, I wouldn't have coped with Dr 's treatment as I have to increase my T3 very gradually. Anyway, you will soon have the opportunity to ask Dr P about it yourself. Why not write a list of all your questions on a piece of paper ready for your appointment? Dr P likes a patient to take an active interest. :-) Miriam > Anyone know what Dr Peatfield thinks about RT3 and treating it if it's high? > In his book he says something about 's syndrome and that he doesn't agree with it. Guest guest
Hi Miriam, That's what I did for my last appointment and I ended up handing the paper to Dr P for him to look at and he made notes on it for me as he was talking! That is the most helpful I have ever known a doctor to be. It was so useful as I don't always remember the answers to questions and I'd have needed to write them down myself.
