Guest guest
: It sounds to me like your working in a toxic area every day. Try a two or three week vaction at the beach and see if the problem goes away. Everday the feed lot raised cattle, pork and chickens in the US stand, somethimes ankle deep in their own waste and breath the air that this waste produces. Some thime this stench can be smelled 5 miles away but our government see no problem with it or the comtamination to the ground water. Consider how well adapted your nose has become over the years. Basics are the answer to many situsations; yours may just be a poor work enviornment. awareness-investigation-knowledge-potential-motivation-action-patience-results Duke - Dallas - Texas info@... iodine From: dr.raul@...Date: Fri, 23 Jan 2009 21:20:08 +0100Subject: Running nose and sinus pain, common cold or detox? Hi all,I am a 50 yo MD from Italy practicing homeopathy and other alternative treatments, and I am a subscriber here nearly from its start. I am taking 3 drops lugol daily (about 19 mg iodine) for over an year now. I haven't health issues but I'm taking it because I'm sure it's a supplement that many of us need.Another reason why I am taking iodine is that it's 3 years that I work 4 days a week in an over-100-years-old thermal spa here in Italy where we have salsobromoiodique water (a water that contains salt, bromine and iodine). Analysis show that bromine in this water is about ten times more concentrated than iodine. .. Windows Live™ Hotmail®:…more than just e-mail. Check it out. Guest guest
Molto bene, dottore. Your sinuses could be detoxing and if you are breathing in bromine all the time, it may be irritating them. Sometimes we don't develop an allergy to something until years after being in its presence. My dr. told me to increase water, take l.5 tsps. of Celtic salt a day in addition to iodine to decrease bromide levels. is Rotella (I lived in Ivrea for 3 years tani anni fa)From: <dr.raul@...>Subject: Running nose and sinus pain, common cold or detox?iodine Date: Friday, January 23, 2009, 3:20 PM Hi all, I am a 50 yo MD from Italy practicing homeopathy and other alternative treatments, and I am a subscriber here nearly from its start. Analysis show that bromine in this water is about ten times more concentrated than iodine. Of course this is not a water to drink (it's very salty and we use it in pools and other treatments), but you can smell it in the air all over the spa. So, working there for several hours a week I am sure we inhale these elements too, and of course I am particularly concerned about bromine. So, I am taking iodine also to contrast the possible ill effects of inhaling this water vapors. Now to the point: yesterday I began to have a watery running nose, and a rather strong pain in frontal sinus over the eyes. I don't think it's acute sinusitis (that I had two times about 25 years ago) because usually in these case the nose is not running like water but it's more often stopped and full with yellow-greenish mucus. Of course the pain is increased if I lie down or if I bend the head down. Some years ago a ORL doctor friend told me that I probably suffer from a mild form of chronic sinusitis, but I have no symptoms except for some mucus that I can find in the back throat sometimes when I wake up in the morning. And can also I smell a "medicinal" odor coming from the back of my nose in some of these morning-mucus cases. Very probably I just got a common cold, but I wanted to know your knowledgeable opinion if this effect could be some kind of detox even if I take only 3 drops of Lugol and if I am taking it for well over an year without any reaction until now. Just out of curiosity. Thanks and sorry for my english.
Guest guest
hi I really don't know the answer to your ?? but why not try 4 drops (or more) and see what happens. I think your English is very good. Gracia Hi all,I am a 50 yo MD from Italy practicing homeopathy and other alternative treatments, and I am a subscriber here nearly from its start. Guest guest
Since you have not changed anything it would be very remote that you are detoxing. You have not added any other supplements or changed anything in your daily protocol? The only way to know would be to stop taking it and see if your sinus clears up. As a side note - if I were being exposed to that level of bromide I would take a lot more than what you are currently taking. I would say 50 mgs would be the lowest comfort level for me. Are you taking any of the companion nutrients - Vit C, Magnesium, Selenium, B2/B3? Steph Running nose and sinus pain, common cold or detox? Guest guest
Hi Steph, I agree with you, no changes so it surely is a common cold. Now it's going decisely better even though it's not completely over yet. I actually don't know at what level of bromide I can be exposed. I know that the thermal water has more bromide than iodine and then you can fell the smell of the water (even though people that work there, like me, don't feel it nearly anymore) Yes I am taking other nutrients, I am supplementing with antioxidants for about 20 years now. I used very good multis for years, but in the last year I replaced many supplements with a great microalgae product that I think it's the best supplement I have ever used. Apart from this, I am still taking vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin D, iodine and rather often some magnesium chloride (I wrote a book about magnesium chloride here in italy in 1994, well before this nutrient wasw well known over there in USA ;-)) At 04.46 25/01/2009, you wrote: >Since you have not changed anything it would be very remote that you >are detoxing. Guest guest
Dr. , Try putting a few drops of virgin coconut oil into your nostrils while lying down and your head way up, roll a pillow on your nape to get the head way up. After the sinus is relieved, follow up with a few pumps of colloidal silver sprayed into the nose. This has helped me a lot. Also an electric hydro sinus nasal sprayer is good. It comes with attachments for nose and throat to take care of the post nasal drip.
Guest guest
the sinus pain lasted one day only, so I think tomorrow I'll be fine. However I usually take very few colds, this is the first one in over two years, since I added 5000IU of D vitamin to my daily regimen. At 19.24 26/01/2009, you wrote: Sounds like your nutrients are covered. I just finished a cold too. Hope yours clears up. Steph
