Guest guest
I just now listened to the 12/11/9 radio interview at naturalsolutionsradio and I have a question about the glandulars discussed in the interview. I've tried a number of over the counter thyroid supplements. I tried the vitamin shoppe thyroid complex. Later I tried a product called thyroplex and another called thyroid boost. These products seemed like the same thing under different labels. I didn't feel any better after using any of them. If I felt certain that I'd feel better from taking nutrimed's thyroid product, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but I'm concerned I'd just be buying more of the same thing that didn't help me previously. As the year draws to a close, I can mark yet another anniversary -- last week it was my 5-year anniversary of getting dx'd with breast cancer. This week marks a full year of supplementing with iodine. I've been taking 100 mg most days since july and all the companion supplements in the protocol, and I'm still tired all the time and have temperature at 97.4-6. I really hoped the iodine protocol would nudge my thyroid into gear, but I'm still waiting... hope someone has some helpful insights on nutrimeds. Guest guest
NutriMeds works, it just seems a little weaker than the prescription stuff. I had very good results with Raw Thyroid also. Raw Thyroid has adrenal support, kelp, and bovine dessicated thyroid all in one capsule. With NutriMeds the adrenal support and dessicated thyroid are purchased separately, and you can choose whether you want bovine or porcine. They also have several hormone balancers like DHEA and pregnelelone(sp?) I had decent results with both of them. Thyroid Energy has no dessicated thyroid if I remember correctly and neither does that other one. Hope that helps:) Bethann If we could sell our experiences for what they cost us, we'd all be millionaires. Guest guest
IMHO, and based on my experiance; I think the Nutri-meds Thyroid is a LOT weaker then the Rx. They reccomend no more then 5 caps/day. My guess is more than 5/day could cause TSH suppression. Therefore, 5 caps is probably less than 1 gr. If someone is just 'Thyroid fatigued', it may help. However, I should think Iodine and Tyrosine supplements would be better in that case. I have FMS, and my wife has Hypothyroidism.Neither of us got any relief from Nutri-meds Thyroid, even at 5 caps/day. We have started on Rx. NTH, I get measurable reduction in my symptoms, currently holding at 3gr./day, and will shortly be increasing. It eliminates the trigger point muscle pain, but, as yet, not the fatigue. My wife is holding at 2 gr., about to start increasing her dose after holding for 1 month. No reduction of symptoms yet, but we're hopeful. She has mitral vavle prolapse, and gets palps, so we're having to go slow with her.Jim > > > > >I will be interviewing Marisue Venables the CEO of Nutri-Meds about the > > >Thyroid, and a supplemental solution for thyroid issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Good morning Jim:) All of us are different and in different situations and at all different stages in healing. What works for me may not work for others. What works for you may not work for me:) All I know is NutriMeds and Raw Thyroid helped me out a lot, until I got my Armour script. They didn't totally take care of everything, but my head was clearer, my energy level was better, if not the greatest, and I wasn't as bluesy. I also lost 13 lbs between one visit to the doctor and the next while taking NutriMeds. I've improved much more, with the Armour. But I only take a small amount of Armour. Well right now I do. I won't know what's up until my next blood work is drawn. But I only take 30 mg once a day of Armour. I'm not sure I want to raise it. I will if I just have to, but I'd rather not. I've never even taken OTC pain meds if I could avoid it. All this pill popping, powder taking, and liquid drinking, really doesn't sit well with me, but I'll do what I have to to get better and stay that way. I'm doing the iodine, supporting the adrenals, and taking Armour. And trying to stay unstressed while cutting down exposure to fluoride and other chemicals as much as possible. And alkalizing. I had a really bad Herx reaction when I first started taking Iodine, For a week I lay in the bed and didn't want to even wiggle. Gawd it was awful. Drank water, went to the bathroom, and slept. But this was before I found the Iodine protocol or the Iodine group, LOL. Now I've got more of an idea how to go about things. Once a week or so I still get a drippy nose and a draggy feeling. I just drink more water. And it passes in a few hours or so. I hope at some point to get off the Armour altogether. I see it as necessary right now for me to function. But I still take one of the NutriMeds adrenal plus once a day. And it keeps me on an even keel. I can tell when I haven't taken it. So I guess it's all in what individual needs each person has as to whether the NutriMeds, or Raw Thyroid, works well for them or not. Guest guest
I emailed Nutri-Meds and they said one capsule is approximately equivalient to 1 grain. I would not take five thinking this equals one grain. You should never go against the recommendations of the manufacturer. They did say their formula is not manipulated or standardized for strength which is why they have no issues with the FDA. > > > > > > >I will be interviewing Marisue Venables the CEO of Nutri-Meds about the > > > >Thyroid, and a supplemental solution for thyroid issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Interesting, thanks! I have been wondering why NTH is Rx. only, whereas Nutri-meds is OTC.I found that Nutri-meds did nothing for my FMS symptoms, whereas NTH does.My theory is that FMS is caused by innadequate levels of T-2 hormone, because I found an OTC supplement for body builders, that has (only) T-2 hormone, and that also relieved my symptoms. Unfortunately, it also has other stuff, and says not to take for more than 30 days, and not more than 3/day. Also interesting that this body builder supplement has a standardised amount of T-2 isomers, and yet is OTC. Its called Mitotropin, and has a specific amount of 3,3 diiodothyronine and 3,5 diiodothyronine per pill. Now I understand why dessicated adrenal from nutri-meds doesn't specify whether or not it contains cortisol, or how much. If they did, it would be Rx. only.Jim > > > > > > > > >I will be interviewing Marisue Venables the CEO of Nutri-Meds about the > > > > >Thyroid, and a supplemental solution for thyroid issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
If Nutri-Meds are (as the manufacturer states) whole and unaltered thyroid gland based, and if thyroxine is a natural part of the thyroid gland, then I would assume that it should be present. > > > > > > > > > > > > >I will be interviewing Marisue Venables the CEO of Nutri-Meds > > about the > > > > > > >Thyroid, and a supplemental solution for thyroid issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
The Porcine Thyroid, and Adrenal support from NutriMeds worked for me before I got a script from my doctor. And saved me, before I started taking iodine. So I know it works:) It just seems to work better for some than others. But like I said that may be due to iodine issues. I'm so glad I found this group!
