Hi Sue

I would value your opinion on my feet. I have on the inside of my

heel a lump of hard skin that has a centre core. My GP says it is a

verucca but it isnt, I've had them before and got rid with stuff

from the chemist.

I've tried lots of preparations on this but it wont go away. Ive

cut it out many a time and now just file it down. I've had it for

years and had reflexology once and she said to keep an eye on it.

When I cut it the centre core seems to have a thin piece of skin

attached to the underneath which I think has a nerve in it because I

cannot detach it as the pain shoots right through me just tweaking

it with the nail clippers.

I have another one on the other foot on the sole just below my third

toe. This one I can cut out easily but it still comes back.

Any ideas?

Chris

I have had similar problems from time to time. I haven't at the

moment and I think it is because I am at home a lot where I only wear

socks. It is difficult to find shoes that fit really well, even

trainers. I think the hard skin occurs when the feet move and rub

inside the shoes as you walk. Socks are a better buffer than tights

or stockings, and cotton or wool better than synthetic fibres.
