Yet they all ask me how come I have had cushing's longer than the 5 year maximum survival and am still walking the planet. The answer is homeopathy - but the one doctor I told put on my medical record that he felt I needed a psychiatrist as I had irrational ideas about my health. When I took my cat to a vet recently because I wanted an xray to rule out intestinal blockage, and blood tests to check some other options. Well they diagnosed her problem as cholangiohepatitis (which was wrong as blood tests proved) and wanted to give drugs. I said no drugs, I'd be using homeopathy, and I went home with the information I needed, and the cat is fine. But I have now received a letter from the vet that I need not come to his clinic again. I guess now it is not okay to buy lab services and no drugs? What is the fear there? Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc; AASCA; MCSSA; D.I.Hom. Guest guest
Vets often have cetain medications in their office, so you either pay for it or tell them no. They did some other things without my permission like xrays and rare disease lab tests thrown in with the liver test I okayed, and I have demanded a refund - and if they fuss any more I shall indeed sue. They hoodwink clients who are not health care professionals into " standard screening tests " (their excuse in the letter they sent to me) and that's so wrong. Guest guest
Sorry, I was just talking about going to my own doctor and his presciptions. But I guess you are right, used to have the vet come to our farm to treat my sheep. He just went ahead and treated with whatever he thought appropriate without asking first.
