Guest guest
How much are you taking and what supplements are you taking with it? What are your major health concerns? Steph not tolerating Iodoral What can I do to help tolerate Iodoral? My feet and ankles have swollen like crazy, this happens every time I take iodine.Elyse
Guest guest
That happens to me too.So to manage it I took a year to work up to50 mg. Now I take 50 every other day. My one ankle stillswells a bit but I do the liver cleanse & salt loadonce or twice & the swelling decreases.Ankle swelling is a sign of a clogged oroverloaded liver. So it sounds like you just need to move more slowly.AliOn Sep 22, 2009, at 12:42 PM, mec wrote:What can I do to help tolerate Iodoral? Guest guest
Steph,I have 12.5mg tablets of Iodoral and have only been taking half a tablet, so only 6.25mg per day. I'm taking a variety of supplements (B's, C, D, chromiumm potassium, magnesium, selenium, iron, molybdenum, niacin, quercitin, enzymes, probiotics) and also taking HC and T3. Overall my biggest concerns are brain fog, great fatigue - really lack energy, fibromyalgia and right now I'm having some depression as well, wondering if that could have something to do with the Iodoral as well. My iodine loading tests showed low iodine. ElyseOn Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 3:45 PM, ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote: How much are you taking and what supplements are you taking with it? Guest guest
Ali,Salt is doing the same thing, it also causes swelling so I can't do the salt loading. Guest guest
I don't see unrefined salt on that list? You need 1/2 tsp of that at least. Are you taking that? It does sound like your liver is getting too much to handle. Dandelion root extract is good for this as is milk thistle. Steph not tolerating Iodoral What can I do to help tolerate Iodoral? Guest guest
I was using Redmonds and Himalayan salt without any swelling, but now it seems even the salt causes swelling too, so I've stopped that for now. BTW, do you normally use iodized or non-iodized salt?I'm allergic to dandelion and possibly to milk thistle. Herbs aren't always the best idea for me, I have to find something else. Guest guest
Neither. I use Celtic Salt. It is natural with over 80 minerals. Ok, I have a friend like that as well. She uses Metagenics Ultra Clear Plus. Steph not tolerating Iodoral What can I do to help tolerate Iodoral? Guest guest
I think Brittany's Sea salt is supposed to be like Celtic isn't it? The Ultra Clear is expensive though :-( I'll have to keep looking. On Tue, Sep 22, 2009 at 4:52 PM, ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote: Neither. I use Celtic Salt. Guest guest
It is expensive but works well when you are really bad - as it appears you are. I did the 28 day detox that requires a special diet and 3 of the containers. It was VERY worth it. Steph Re: not tolerating Iodoral I think Brittany's Sea salt is supposed to be like Celtic isn't it? Guest guest
Yes it is a detox program and you use it as a meal replacement while you eliminate foods. Guest guest
I disagree. I think much better results are obtained at doses of 50mg plus. I work with 2 ppl who are trying iodine but they will only take 12.5mg and no more. they are having no good results and maybe more problems. gracia Alison Trotta-Marshall wrote: > > > That happens to me too. > > So to manage it I took a year to work up to > 50 mg. Guest guest
I think you would feel great on ENOUGH Armour, ENOUGH Iodoral, and ENOUGH HC. I take 100mg Iodoral, 240mg Armour, and HC 5mg 4X a day. gracia mec wrote: > > > Steph, > I have 12.5mg tablets of Iodoral and have only been taking half a > tablet, so only 6.25mg per day. > I'm taking a variety of supplements (B's, C, D, chromiumm potassium, > magnesium, selenium, iron, molybdenum, niacin, quercitin, enzymes, > probiotics) and also taking HC and T3. > > Overall my biggest concerns are brain fog, great fatigue - really lack > energy, fibromyalgia and right now I'm having some depression as well, > wondering if that could have something to do with the Iodoral as well. > My iodine loading tests showed low iodine. > Elyse > >

Guest guest
---I also had a problem tolerating iodoral and many other supplements. may I suggest something Dr. Bownstein wrote about in his book. he actually gave this product to his mother-in-law who also was very sensitive to supplements. it is a type of iodine in the form of atomidine. it is microgram doses of iodine. You can purchase it at www.iodinesource.com. because i am so sensitive to it i use it topically as directed instead of internally (drops in water). a schedule is sent with the product-1 drop 1st day, 2 drops 2nd day, etc. i e-mailed the gentleman that sells it and he was very helpful in how i ,as a very sensitive can take this successfully. so far it has worked nicely for me.just be careful wher u get the atomidine product. i first googled it and bought it from a site. my dr. did not think this particular brand was pure so i sent it back. you want the atomidine(edgar cayce's iodine formulation),which u can purchase at the site i listed above. as a sentive person, you need to be careful of all the detoxes that are talked about. what might be good for one might not be good for another. but the atomidine iodine has worked great for me and i have been trying to take iodoral at very low doses for almost a year. hope this helps! michelle In iodine , mec <macedgeca@...> wrote: > > What can I do to help tolerate Iodoral?
