Guest guest
hi steph, the instructions from hulda clark on lugols iodine is 6 drops in a glass of water 3 times p/d for 3 days to git rid of salmonella, shigella, and fungus. ( not sure on spelling ) i've been taking 3 drops per day for a couple of months because of the energy it gives me. never been diagnosed but feel i suffer from a stressed out adrenal gland or chronic fatigue. wes Lugols iodine My lugols iodine came yesterday, but as someone mentioned it did not come with any instrucions as to how much to take of the 5%. I ordered it a few weeks ago just before all the discussion on the other kind being better. If I can stand the taste I will bear with it, otherwise I guess I will order the new stuff. Anyway, does anyone have the recommended dosage and where does the original information come from on how much to take? Steph
Guest guest
Wes, is the iodine supposed to be good for the adrenals as well?? I suffer from horrendously low adrenals because I have been sick for so long. I refuse to take cow adrenals but am taking all the B vitamins for that with the pantothenic acid. (this doesn't mean that I won't break down some day and give in and bite the cow LOL). Steph
Guest guest
yea steph, lugols is supposed to help the adrenals..there are other things to but i'm not up to speed on them. from what i've read people in the US are very deficient in iodine. the japanese consume many times more than we and are generally alot healthier. look your fruit over real good for bruises... a potential source of fungus that can be harmful. after reading db's post this morn it makes me wonder if you eat much salt?? wes Re: Lugols iodine Wes, is the iodine supposed to be good for the adrenals as well?? Guest guest
Yes Wes, I use plenty of high quality sea salt and other good mineral salt. I did not know however, that bruises in fruit was always a source of fungus??? Last night I ate a half of a granny apple. Most of the apple was a little brown which I like because they have less strong acid when they age awhile in the frig. But also I was very sick to my stomach all night and this morning and was wondering why. Maybe it was the apple and it had lots of fungus. So glad you mentioned that. I unsubscribed from the MMS group because I could not keep up with all the messages. No way. I just don't have the time. So I am going to be missing a lot of good info. from there but nothing I can do about it. I have all I can do and more just to keep up with the messages here and all the spam I get every day. Guest guest
www.brownstein.com DR. Brownstein says in his book that every one is different and requires different dosage. Too much of course is a bad thing and too little won't do much. If I recall correctly he says never more then 8 drops per day, but that most people need way less then that, with dosages being adjusted as needed and as time goes on. Plus he believes it is more difficult to get exact measurements with a liquid as opposed to say Iadoral (sp?) the Lugol's tablet where you would be sure of your dosage each time. He recommends you start with an iodine loading test to determine how iodine defficient you are and then dose according to that. He also indicates that iodine is an excellent detoxifier as well, so one should ensure they drink lots of water. His book is very informative and I encourage anyone who hasn't read it to do so. wlpate <wlpate@...> wrote: hi steph, the instructions from hulda clark on lugols iodine is 6 drops in a glass of water 3 times p/d for 3 days to git rid of salmonella, shigella, and fungus. Guest guest
I am going to buy Lugols iodine and I am wondering what solution to get: 2%, or 5%? I am also wondering what the correct dose to start off with is and what the appropriate level to work up to is? I am currently taking natural thyroid meds, in addition, and I would like to know if anyone has had success going off their thyroid meds as a result of taking the iodine?
