But this system (page 16 of the bill) will make it illegal to have private insurance. Once the government bill goes into effect it is illegal for anyone to enroll (or for an insurance company to contract with an individual) for a new health insurance policy. You can keep insurance at your current employer as long as you are there but if you leave the employment of this company and move to another you may not enroll in this program's policy and you cannot take out a personal plan. You will then have to enroll in government insurance or pay a penalty based on a % of your income for non coverage in a health care program.

That is the problem. There are many more issues. Maybe you are happy with your healthcare system but the one they are trying to put into place here is a train wreck.

It gives the impression that it would be a disaster to have a government run health programme like we have in Britain when, in fact, we have an excellent system. We do not pay for doctor's appointments or visits, consultant appointments, surgery, blood tests, scans, etc. Very few people pay for prescriptions and the only payment I have to make is to a dentist. Uh, someone is paying..like the taxpayers. I have no interest in paying for mine, every retiree, every illegal alien. I also, have no interest in the US gov't having access to my bank accounts.

I have no interest in allopathic horrific nightmare care. I have read, I will not be able to pay for a Dr. myself. I have no interest in death counseling after I reach a certain age, every 5 years. I have no interest in forced vaccines or drugs. Not in a "free" country. No. This is fascism.

You might want to listen to Thom Hartman and get another view; It would be best

if everyone could listen to both sides and then make their decision on what they

understand.

I can't and won't sign this petition and would advise people strongly to educate

your self before you sign it. This bill will be change to something totally

There are 46 Million Americans (over 9 million children) uninsured in America.

Of the uninsured 8 out of 10 are in working families. The wealthy have what they

want, the poorest have Medicaid and the Middle Class are the most uninsured.

1.Every single family in the Housing Projects in our city has Medical Coverage

(Welfare). We have been carrying Welfare recipients and under the Current

Program will continue t o do so and this is why a Tylenol tablet cost $6.00 in

the hospital.

The Wealthy and the Poorest are sure to be covered, the Working Middle Class are

suffering without Health Care under the present system most.

The medical system in America is broken!

Administration gets up to 70% on a dollar. Insurance Companies are out of

control. A friend of mine is a Neurosurgeon, he won't give a break to anyone in

administration.

My daughter worked 5 years in Pediatric ICU all the Welfare got covered

completely, all the fully Insured got what they need. It was the working class

families that could not get test, treatments even surgery that their child

needed.

Often a Church group tried to raise money to save a child's life.

USA has a broken Medical System controlled by Lobbyist, Drug Companies and

Insurance Co's (backed by Politics).

When these Companies are on the Stock Market then Greed takes precedent over

CARE.

I have relatives in Nova Scotia with Fine Health Care and I've stayed in Italy

and Germany where my friends get Excellent Health Care! The Drs there deal with

keeping people WELL. The Apothecary in Germany where Drs send clients was full

of vitamins and herbs not controlled by the drug companies.

The Health Care System in America is BROKEN and is crumbling. Soon everyone will

be scrambling and scrounging under it's collapse, just like the collapse of Wall

Street's investment banking giants. If we kept Government out of THAT we would

be in World Crisis according to every expert in ever country. The last 40 yrs

Capitalism has grown out of control (even Prisons are run by Private Companies

on Wall St) Hospitals, Insurance Companies (who are freaking out right now

because they rake in more than the medical Profession) and Drug Companies need

to be revamped as the Banking System.

The Bill is not even Finished!! Politics is controlling the push to stop the

Bill before it is even Finished. No ONE knows what it will mean for who yet!

There are over 1,000 pages in the first draft that even the Politicians have not

read yet.

The propaganda machine and fear mongers are out in full force! Depending on if

you watch FOX NEWS or CNN as to even what Universal Health Care will mean in

You make NO mention WHO pays for Great Britians 'govt run healthcare program'.

In the US our taxes too will skyrocket!!! AND YES you (or others do who work)

pay for all the services you list below! You are just MANDATED to pay via

taxation. As we all will be here in this country. Is this is lieu of the

medicare taxes I pay now out of my check? lol...I highly doubt that...

I lose 1/3rd of my paycheck each pay for taxes and my OWN insurance. Now,

living in a socially run healthcare system I will be lucky to live on 1/3rd of

my pay.

I work in healthcare....NOONE is turned down where I work. And there are many

hospitals across this country who operate similarly. We don't get paid often

times for these services...just as when the govt takes over (and when does

ANYTHING the govt do run smoothly, efficiently and cost effectively?) what the

govt will be willing to pay will put many a healthcare provider at such a

status as to lower ALL our living. WHY can't the govt fix its own run

Medicare/medicaid now? LOL...

There is NO free lunch.

but no one is saying don't offer the people that need healthcare a govt. run program - we are just saying don't make EVERYONE fall into it - the way they are going right now, it will be mandated across the board if you, for any reason, lose the coverage you hold now with your company.

This is my group and this does affect iodine. Because they

will be deciding the future of herbal supplements too. We may be entering

a CODEX like system. Look at what happened to the DEA and Iodine in

I did mention in a more recent post that we pay 9% of gross income if we are

working. The unemployed, retired and those on benefits do not pay. I had three

boys with severe haemophilia whose treatment was completely free. If I'd lived

in the USA it would have cost a fortune.

I worked with a hemophiliac who never paid a dime for his treatment.

He had been treated at St Jude since his childhood. There are programs out

there in the US for kids with life threatening illnesses.

Well said.

I recently medically retired from the health care industry after

25 years. I have noticed that every time the government gets involved in your

health care you lose. HMO’s were a disaster for patients. People became stats

instead of patients.
