Guest guest
Yes that is Frandsen's website. She runs a "companion" group called Fibromyalgia Recovery. She is on a mission trip for 18 mos out of the country and has another woman running it for her. I met her at the Iodine conference in California in 2007. She is "one of us". Guest guest
I was doing the search on fibro since my doctor really thinks I had fibro and wanted to put me on antidepressants for it, which I declined because I told him that I am not taking anything until we get my thyroid optimal first. I have been taking armour since June and added the iodine in July. I feel the difference with armour and iodine and know that I am improving. I ran out of iodine in the beginning of December and of course my order was lost in the christmas mail, so I was not taking it for about 4 weeks, in that 4 weeks I started with heart palpitations again and I had a few episodes of extreme muscle pain esp in the hips and legs and had a really hard time walking . The other thing that is being helped by the iodine is my vision , My double vision is so much better on iodine , Maybe it is just that the iodine makes the armour work better and I don't have that drastic fatigue, I don't know what it does but it helps.. I have an appointment with the doc on Monday to get the results of my labs done on Dec 31st. I am also going to ask him to order the loading test since I had all the problems when I went off of it, I am curious to see where I am . He didn't want me taking the iodine he said I didn't need it because " I didn't live in the goiter belt " So this time if he says anything about me taking it I will just tell him to prove me wrong by doing the loading test lol! kathy > From: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...> > Subject: Re: fibro/chronic fatigue/yeast website promotes iodine > iodine > Date: Friday, January 9, 2009, 8:10 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes that is > Frandsen's website. Guest guest
Kathleen, It takes time to feel better, but keep working on it and fine tuning your diet and supplements and you will get there. My doctor wanted to put me on antidepressants too, because he thought I had fibromyalgia, but I fired him because I knew he was wrong. I hired a different doctor that treats adrenal fatigue and uses Armour and iodine. I am using Armour and vitamins and supplements and have revisited the food/diet issues in my life, plus gone gluten free. It was more difficult than just taking a pill, but I feel so much better now. I'm glad I didn't start on antidepressants because I believe they change things in your body and are hard to stop taking once you're on them. If you really do need them, that's another thing, but if your problem is lack of thyroid hormone, there are other ways to treat the problem and you will have much better results if you don't take the antidepressants. About two months after being told I needed to see a specialist for fibro/CFS and also an antidepressant, I was biking around Mackinaw Island with my sons. 8 miles, and I wanted to go more but the boys were pooped. There have been ups and downs since then but I'm improved greatly and no more symptoms of fibro. kathleen mcburney wrote: > > I was doing the search on fibro since my doctor really thinks I had > fibro and wanted to put me on antidepressants for it, which I declined > because I told him that I am not taking anything until we get my > thyroid optimal first. >
Guest guest
Kathy you don't need a doctor to order an iodine loading test for you. You can do that all on your own. Guest guest
It might be covered by insurance. I would check that before you do it. It is one of those that can and cannot be covered depending on your insurance. Let us know if it does.
