Guest guest
, I am also on 200mgx2 daily but I am unable to get melatonin as is illegal to import into France. I will give 5-HTP a go and see if it helps Thanks

Guest guest
Depends. Usually mid-afternoon no food and also before bed but I don't think it matters. I eat small meals throughout the day so I always have something in my stomach. On Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 11:03 AM, Theta <calblonde1@...> wrote: Do you take the 5-HTP with food or an empty stomach? Guest guest
I just finished a bottle of 5HTP. I was taking one at night and I find it helps me sleep. Sometimes I forget and sometimes I fall asleep anyway, but usually I when I find myself tossing and turning I realize that I forgot to take my 5HTP. I might switch to valerian root. I find it helpful, for a while, in getting to sleep. I tried melatonin a long time ago and it didn't help one bit in helping me sleep. I didn't notice that the 5HTP diminished in effectiveness. The bottle had 120 capsules, so I've been using it for months now. Guest guest
I just started on 5-HTP after the group recommendation. I take 3 x's per day. Have been on for 4 days now. I feel that I am sleeping deeper with many more dream cycles than I have in some time. But, I am still waking up after 4 hours. I am hoping that goes away in a week or two. Guest guest
Tye taking L-Tryptophan, which is an amino acid that governs sleep, seratonin and melatonin which also helps with mood. This should help re-establish sleep pattern. There are also herbs you can take, but first try this.
