What do EFT have to do with RAI and thyroid cancer?

Common people. This is a little far off topic.

If I had it to do again I would definitely never do it. It almost killed me. There are other ways to monitor the cancer.

Hi !

I wondered if you were going to call me on this. It seems pretty far off topic, and yet, OMG, it's not; and I think it can help and is certinly worth a look at it. BTW, I'm really impressed with this group. I've learned a lot.

Even in the worst of circumstances, the tapping acupressure (EFT) seems to shift energy systems into the cure mode. Please check out the video on Craig's website http://www.emofree.com/ The theory behind it says that our emotional upheavals generate energy blockages in various organs in the body. In the end these blockages

produce disease or they shut the organ down. Through the tapping process while you're focusing on the particular problem, the healing process occurs. I was so impressed with the process, I bought Graig's complete program. I can make 100 legal copies to distribute, and will gladly send a couple of the DVDs so that you can see how it's done and how it works. Just send me an address, and I'll send the DVDs to you. No charge. I'm not trying to sell any body anything. I just think it's the most incredible healing mode I've ever witnessed.

Yours,

hiroko

many alternative practitioners have found that there could (and usually is) an emotional, structural and/or chemical ( nutrition) component to disease states. and this would be helpful to learn, also check out www.vibrani.com/thyroid.htm. linda rn

I won't debate that. I know that was my case with thyroid cancer. It wasn't just one thing. It was it all coming together.

I’m sure that this is very helpful,

but nothing short of Armour (T3 and T4) and Testosterone, and progesterone, and

cortisol could have saved me!

That is what my body needs to make my mind

happy J

Hi Stephani,

Thank you for your response. What are other methods that would monitor

the cancer advancement?

My blood work is still all in the normal ranges. I would like some

suggestions to go to Dr's and find out if it is possible. I am trying

to find out all my options, before time runs out. I have not seen a lot

of alternatives to either surgery or RAI on the net that is not a fairly

long process. I was supposed to have a Dr apt with the surgeon

yesterday, but did not know so I missed it. It is now 3 weeks away. I

am still not sure when the surgery is scheduled, probably right after.

Post thyroidectomy you can get a thyroglobulin level and monitor this. It is the marker they use post RAI but it also is a marker that can be used from the reference point. Only thyroid tissue and cancer make this protein. You can also monitor with ultrasounds. Nuc Med I-123 scans may work too.

I am still on the fence as to whether having a damaged thyroid is better than removing it. I have a friend who has healed of thyroid cancer naturally but she struggles with her thyroid sputtering off and on due to hashi's. I do not have this. My thyroid is gone and I just replace what I need. There is no balance of what your thyroid will do and the medication fills in. I have been on the same dose for 3 years.

That being said, I have a medical professional friend who says it is better to remove cancerous tissue and then heal the body. I just don't know. I definitely would not do RAI. I might try to use Selenium, Magnesium, Iodine, Vit C and detoxing to heal it first. My mom had nodules on her thyroid. Only and U/S was done on it. No nuc med scan and no fine needles so who knows what it is. We are doing natural methods to shrink her nodule.

Not sure if that helps.

Ali, that is great news, see there are

better and healthier ways to treat this, Suzanne Somers talks about the natural

way to cure these things in her new book called Breakthrough, just like

D-Mannose powder is now the only thing I use to treat my bladder and UTI infections

because it works better then antibiotics and doesn’t give me any of the

bad side effects that antibiotics give me either.

Not sure what options, good options that is, are available. Once the

bulk of the thyroid is removed, surgically, if any thyroid cells,

including thyroid cancer cells, remain behind, unseen, and undetected,

removing them surgically is not an option, and the one sure way to

treat this, is to use RAI. I've seen more than once person opt for

" natural " supplement, dietary options to treat cancers, not do well.

I'm not sure there are absolute good answers for all on this issue.

I am a nurse anesthetist, thyca survivor of 8 years, with neg. scans

X3, and super low thyroglobulins. I also have survived, thus far,

prostate cancer, PSAs remaining undetectable at 3 years.

I'd love to have my thryoid back, but also was not willing to risk

having any thyroid tissue remaining to worry and threaten, inasmuch as

the ammount left behind with a Near Total Thyroidectomy, would not be

enough to function adequately.
