Guest guest
Kristy, I am having laser done for rosacea on my face and she hit the top of my TT scar for me for free last time, ten days ago. She also told me that wearing Micropore tape (paper tape) reduces the appearance of the scars so I have been doing that ever since. The paper tape stays in even through showering. It also sort of hides the scars by making them " white out " . I have been doing this for ten days only, but I think I am seeing a difference. Laser takes about three weeks to show a difference in me. I also applied steroid cream to the worst part of the scar. They can inject scars with steroids, if necessary. Guest guest
Kristy, I forgot to mention pressure, keep them under pressure. At my waist where my waist band always presses, my scar is invisible. Marta who wears a girdle every day and night, ironically, now that the tummy is small. Guest guest
Marta, that funny! I too wear tummy control panties, I LOVE Victoris Secret's full coverage front, sheer but strong, support darn near all the way to the braline, and they come in briefs AND thong styles! I have a drawer full of sexy panties and what do I wear? Tummy control even though my tummy is flat, (concave as Marta would say, LOL - I can fill it with a bowl full of water even!) For some reason the support just feels good! Also my scar is still numb in areas and tender in others and the support does help! Guest guest
Kristy, One arm keloided from the batwing surgery (actually, half of the scar did). I have had one laser treatment that lightened it a little. I mostly took the pink out. I plan on having one more in a couple weeks. in WA

I was for 6 months...I could return to the office at no additional charge. Your plastic surgeon could be an excellent place to start for scar management. I would check with him. Guest guest
Yes, orally. Take about a gram or 2 per day and see what happens. Guest guest
Aloe works well for that sort of thing, in my experience. Get a plant, take off one leaf, and use pieces of that leaf a couple of times a day. Vitamin K cream is supposed to help too? Guest guest
Do a Google search on sulfur and keloids. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprized. Go for it! Also, try zinc along with it, since zinc is good for skin conditions. Jag--- On Mon, 7/6/09,
Guest guest
There is good evidence showing keloids are related to vitamin d deficiency also. My keloid disappeared with 'D' within 2 weeks. Guest guest
My really bad keloid disppeared after 2 weeks on cod liver oil:-)) It was as if the area went back to its original factory default settings. gasingirl schrieb: > > > I have a keloid that drives me crazy -itching and hurting. > Has anyone gotten rid of one by using Lugol's or iodine on it? > What strength would I get and how often would I paint it on? > I used to have it injected with Kenalog.
