Steph Fibrocystic breast treatment with iodine Hi Everyone, I am new here and I bet that this topic has been covered before but I cannot find it. If it has will someone point me in the right direction to the posts. If not, has anyone used Lugol's to treat breast lumps? I have been using the lugol's for two months. The first month I took 1 12.5mg tablet twice a day and now I am taking 2 12.5mg tablets twice a day. I started taking the Lugol's on the advice of a naturopath who performed a thermogram for me. The thermogram results were T2 and the left and T3 on the right. I also have several cysts (lumps) that I can feel. I have noticed no change so far and am wondering if anyone has had any success with this protocol.
Guest guest
you can always ask your naturopath about using bio-identical progesterone cream.from experience if you smear it on cyste, they disappear. > > Hi Everyone, I am new here and I bet that this topic has been covered > before but I cannot find it. Guest guest
I had very sever FBD that progesterone cream did nothing for. Once I started on 50 mgs of Iodoral daily ALL lumpiness and pain went away over a matter of days and has not returned. I've been pain free through 3 full menstrual cycles now. I also take the other supps recommended i.e. selenium, vit C and B vits. Good luck - I know how frustrating FBD can be! ~DD
Guest guest
Hi! I have had great succes with fibrocystic breast disease. I had ten cysts in each breast one 1cm by 5cm and another 1 cm by 3 cm. I started taking lugols working up from 12 mg to 50 mg over six weeks and within a few months my big cysts were undetectable to the human hand. I believe however, that it is necessary to keep up the treatment for some time for all the tissues to repair. MacG. Guest guest
Thank you for your reply. How were your cysts diagnosed? I guess I am still a little worried that my " cysts " are something other than cysts. And if they are cysts I guess I need to give it a little more time if yours took a few months to go away. > MacG. > > > > > ________________________________ > From: wilson.pd77 <wilson.pd77@...> > iodine > Sent: Thursday, 8 January, 2009 17:26:12 > Subject: Fibrocystic breast treatment with iodine > > > Hi Everyone, I am new here and I bet that this topic has been covered > before but I cannot find it. Guest guest
I would suggest painting your breast in addition to taking the iodine orally. It might take a while to get the full results you seek. The first iodine you are taking may be going to your thyroid or some other needy organ. Painting the breast will direct the iodine to the breast. Paint and then cover with a piece of plastic to keep it from evaporting. Then more of the iodine will be absorbed. > > Hi Everyone, I am new here and I bet that this topic has been covered > before but I cannot find it. Guest guest
I take 4 tablets (50mg) of Iodoral (Lugol's in tablet form) and it took about 3-4 months before I saw a change in my FCB. It is all gone now and so are my ovarian cysts. Hang in there, everyone heals at a different rate. Guest guest
I have been taking 12.5 Ioderal twice a day. I had my usual 3 X a year mammo and sono and my fibrocystic breasts got so much better that they didn't call me back for a year. Been a good thing for me that way. I am also hypo but it hasn't seemed to help my thyroid. JoanneA Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
Guest guest
Hi Joanne, Things seem to take more time with the thyroid. I think that Iodine goes to the breasts and other organs first before the thyroid. I have been on 50 mg since July. My brease lumps have diminished. Inspite of warnings of dire events from my endocrinologist, my hashi anti-bodies have not made any significant changes. Unless I have a real bad problem with my hashi anti-bodies I am going to keep on with the iodine until I send back 90% in the iodine loading test. I have also stopped having heart flutters. MacG. Guest guest
I believe that not all fibrocystic breasts are the same. I have a fluid filled cyst in the left breast and a tiny, tiny one in my left. Have been taking iodine and companion nutrients etc. for nearly two years. The first symptoms of the cysts were very painful, burning breasts during the high progesterone time of the month. (Same thing happened in early pregnancy.) I am now menopausal (or very nearly so) and taking BHRT. The progesterone rather than the estrogen part of my treatment increases my breast symptoms. The red, burning sensations have now mostly stopped, except when I am taking progesterone. The iodine seemed to make a difference. But honestly, I can't tell what impact my cycle stopping had on this from the iodine and other lifestyle changes. My cysts grow to double the size during the course of day, larger at night, smaller in the morning. When I take progesterone for any length of time, the burning sensations come back. So I really don't believe that every case of FCB's are the same. Some may respond to iodine, some to progesterone, and others may have something else driving their development. I think women need to experiment with iodine and see if their symptoms respond positively or not. I feel good, have less symptoms on iodine, but hasn't been a miracle cure for me. Only time will tell. I am sticking with the higher dose iodine for another year or so. I did the loading test, wasn't all that low. No thyroid problems and no one in my family has ever reported thyroid problems. Don't have uterine cysts either. Good health in other aspects except for allergies and chemical sensitivity. Guest guest
I have uterine fibroids, fibercystic breasts and hypothyroid. I wonder how much Iodoral I should be taking? I have not noticed as much of a difference as I was hoping in my thyroid, but now that you mention it, perhaps my breasts are using it? My fibroids seem to have gotten a little bigger, so I will look to estrogen detox. Jag From: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>Subject: Re: Re: Fibrocystic breast treatment with iodineiodine Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 4:28 PM 12.5 mgs is a very low dose. My hunch is that your breasts are taking what you are getting. I would up your dose to at least 25 mgs and then go to 50 mgs for 3 mos. Guest guest
Jag, this is all talked about in Suzanne Somers new book called “Breakthrough” Suzanne somer’s also suffered from everything that you suffer from and she no longer has any of those issues anymore, she talks in her book about how she naturally healed all of those conditions using bioidentical hormones, cortisol, thyroid meds, and iodine and other things… YOU MUST read her book, you are living in her old life! She interviews many doctors who explain the treatments and the reasons why you have all of your conditions. You can get the book from Walmart for $17. Your story is exactly what Suzanne Somer’s used to have.
