Guest guest
My guess is bromide detox. I would try applying liquid iodine to them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_angioma Cause Cherry angiomas appear spontaneously in many people in middle age but can also, although less common, occur in young people. They can also occur in an aggressive eruptive manner in any age. The underlying cause for the development of cherry angiomas is far from understood, much because of a lack of interest in the subject. This is probably due to the fact that they very rarely are caused by an internal malignancy. Chemicals and compounds that have been seen to cause cherry angiomas are mustard gas,[2][3][4][5] 2-butoxyethanol,[6] bromides[7] and cyclosporine.[8] A correlation has been seen between cherry hemangiomas and activity of the enzyme carbonic anhydrase[9] as well as a significant increase in the density of mast cells in cherry hemangiomas compared to normal skin.[10] Cheery Angiomas Has anyone gotten more cherry angiomas when taking iodine? I am getting small ones. Is this bromide or is it something else? A little concerned.
Guest guest
Hello! I got an outbreak of cherry angiomas when I used a progesterone coil (Myrena) just after I had my son. I know that there are many people who think that this type of coil is a factor which causes hypothyroidism and other endocrine imbalances because I have seen it discussed in forums. If progesteron is the culprit it could be that iodine may be indirectly causing the angiomas because it is affecting hormone levels in your body. (In case this sounds like a criticism of iodine, let me say that my hormone levels seem a great deal more harmonious after nine months of iodine, I think I was suffering from estrogen dominance.) I stopped getting angiomas after a few months. I was never 100% sure if it was due to the Myrena. But I can't think what else it could have been. Hope this helps, MacGilchrist From: tonitone2007 <tonitone2007@...>iodine Sent: Monday, 27 April, 2009 2:40:22Subject: Cheery Angiomas Has anyone gotten more cherry angiomas when taking iodine? Guest guest
in mirena there is no progesterone but progastins ,the synthetic form of progesterone.you cannot say the same about the two. > > Hello! > I got an outbreak of cherry angiomas when I used a progesterone coil (Myrena) just after I had my son. Guest guest
I noticed that I had more cherry angiomas on both of my thighs shortly after starting iodine but I didn't know that they may have been from bromide detox. I use a bio-identical progesterone cream too. When I noticed them I wasn't sure how long they had been there. Interesting.
Guest guest
I use BHrt P too but I only have one. I have had it for several years. In case someone wants to know what they look like here is a great picture. http://missinglink.ucsf.edu/lm/DermatologyGlossary/img/Dermatology%20Glossary/Glossary%20Clinical%20Images/CherryAngioma.jpg I wonder if applying iodine directly to it would help get rid of them. Guest guest
I tried iodine on one a couple of months ago and it didn't get rid of it. I read on curezone this morning that iodine doesn't work on them. > > Re: Cheery Angiomas > > > > > > I noticed that I had more cherry angiomas on both of my thighs shortly after starting iodine but I didn't know that they may have been from bromide detox. Guest guest
Also, last time I had my cholesterol checked I had a high total. Anyway, I suppose it could be due to detox...or fungus.

Guest guest
Thanks for the input everyone! I am going to try salting because my thought is maybe I am not flushing the bromide out of my body fast enough. Just a guess. Guest guest
> Hi, Many of my cherry angiomas went away when I was on a higher dose of Iodoral. Now my dose has been lowered and they are flourishing. I have also lowered the amount of salt I am using, so that might be why I have some many of them. Guest guest
This has been an interesting thread about cherry angiomas. My dad had lots of them and I was born with a couple here and there and they've never gotten bigger or smaller. I had a little one by my eye lasered by a dermatologist and it went away. I just always assumed, since my dad had them, that they were inherited. We called them red freckles... My brother didn't inherit any, *and* he got my mom's olive complexion, grrrr.
