It didn't do any of that for me. You can research the two components

through google and your symptoms and see if either show anything.

I wouldn't see why not as long as it is the same forms as the formulation in the ATP Cofactors.

ATP Cofactors

Hi ,Do you know if the B2 and B3 can be taken separately with just as good effect? I am unemployed at the moment and even the $18.00 Optimox ATP Cofactors may be a little steep for me. Thank you.Beverly

i ran across this statement.... Evidence suggests niacin supplementation can influence thyroid

hormone levels in at least some individuals. One author reported

cytopenia and hypothyroxinemia with a concomitant decrease in

thyroxine-binding globulin in two patients receiving niacin. All

thyroid function tests returned to normal after niacin supplementation

was discontinued.[118]

The impact

of sustained supplementation with niacin (mean daily dose of 2.6 grams

for an average duration of 1.3 years) was observed in one female and

four male subjects with hyperlipidemia. Before and after thyroid

function studies revealed significant decreases in serum levels of T4,

T3, and TBG, with no significant alterations in fT4 and TSH levels.

Discontinuation of niacin resulted in a return to pretreatment levels

of these parameters of thyroid function.[119]

While results suggest niacin can influence serum thyroid hormone

concentrations, it is currently not known whether this is a

centrally-mediated result, a direct result of a decrease in TBG, or a

niacin-induced alteration in some aspect of peripheral conversion.

However, since TSH was unaltered, evidence suggests an influence

outside the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis.if i am reading this right niacin could negatively affect thyroid hormone output....and some of us take the ATP cofactors which i believe have niacin .....can anyone help me figure out if i am reading this right?? we added the atp cofactors when we started iodine....

I finally bought the ATP cofactors ( have been taking the supplements separately). Directions say to take between 1-3 tablets. How many should I take? I take 50 mg. Iodoral daily and have been doing so for several years. Thanks.

I started out with one in the morning and one at lunch but had to back that dose

down due to increased heart rate. Now I take 1/2 a tab in the morning and

another 1/2 at lunch. Definitely perked up my energy levels.
