Guest guest
I agree it is detoxing. Try taking a bath in dead sea salts (or if not available epsom salt) and hydrogen peroxide. One cup of each for a normal tub but if a bit jacuzzi tub then double it. Spend 20 mins in the water. Taking salt and Vit C interally will help as well. Guest guest
He used a whole bag of Epsom salt in the tub, which didn't seem to help. The salt & C hasn't helped either. He's really miserable and I feel so responsible. Thanks everyone for replying. I feel a little better knowing it's 'normal.' I'll suggest the hydrogen peroxide with the Epsom tonight. He isn't far from the Atlantic ocean. Would that be better than Epsom? How long should it continue if he stops the Iodoral? Is 6.25 mg daily really enough to cause this drastic of a reaction? ~WOn Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 8:02 AM, ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote: I agree it is detoxing. Guest guest
If he is really toxic then yes. It could. How much Vit C are you taking? There is a product from HEEL that is a homeopathic that may help. My mom had terrible breast itching when detoxing on iodoral and she used it. It is called Histamine or Histaweg. Something like that. What I found out is that the itching (particularly if there are hives) indicates that there is too much histamine around - too much histamine means the body is undermethylated. Supplements which support methylation and decrease histamine help. Salt helps because it is a natural antihistamine. Methylation support includes B vitamins, especially B3, B6, B12, Folic Acid, SAMe. I also used Grape Seed Extract, Vitamin E and Digestive Enzymes and stopped the Iodoral for a couple of weeks until I was sure it had all cleared. I restarted more slowly and it was ok. A couple of months after I was using a daily dose of Iodoral I had another itchy skin reaction which looked more fungal, lasted about a month but then has just cleared. To stop taking what is killing the fungus will normally only delay the need to move through these die off symptoms later. If you can't get it under control now then eventually you will itch all over ALL the time until you think it is going to make you insane LOL and it may have made me insane no guarantees. I tried everything known to man for years to treat this before I knew it was a deep internal fungus issue even topical antifungals only irritate it more. The good news is, if you stick to your guns you should get through it in a couple weeks. It comes back easily though if you stop antifungals or eat a highly refined diet again. Guest guest
Well, from an IgA point of view, kefir is just as reactive as milk is (at least for me). It's hard to know what he's reacting to, IF he's reacting to something. One thing you can do is have him not eat for awhile and then take his pulse before and after a meal. If it goes up after a meal, he is probably reacting to something in the food. On Wed, Jul 1, 2009 at 8:57 AM, wendy 56789<wendy56789@...> wrote: > > > Thanks, ! Guest guest
IgA is an immune globulin. When you are allergic to, say, dogs, you get IgE produced, and it makes your eyes water and nose run, and also can give you hives. When you eat something your body reacts to, IgA is produced in your digestive tract, including in your mouth. It tends to give you things like canker sores or IBS ... but it may not produce any symptoms at all. However, sometimes it leaks from the gut into the blood and then it can cause skin problems (also thyroid problems). The only way to keep it from being produced is to avoid the offending food, and to stop the leaky gut problems. The IgA that is in the skin eventually goes away, or it did for me, but I don't know how long that takes. I originally started researching iodine because every time I ate shrimp or iodized salt my skin would itch ... the iodine activated the IgA. But iodine doesn't affect my skin that way at all. I was iodine-free for a few years though. THAT wasn't a good idea either, I think. It is possible that the iodine makes the deposits go away faster, but it could be darn uncomfortable. And if the IgA is still being produced, I don't know that you can get rid of it. On Wed, Jul 1, 2009 at 9:40 AM, wendy 56789<wendy56789@...> wrote: > > > How does one get rid of IgA deposits?
