Saturday night GF and I were at the SRC dance at Puyallup Elks. Also there was

a woman I'd met some years ago at an SRC dance in Tacoma who's been planning to

get the band. Something came up and she couldn't get the band but did get wls,

more specificly she got the gastric bypass and it has done wonders for her but

she mentioned needing support sometimes. My GF knows I'll talk to her but I'd

like to direct her to some WLS

(bandster) groups in Puyallup area. Is there one? Would they welcome, or at

least give her a chance?

TIA

Larry,

If she goes to Vitalady.com (Don and Curan) there is a place

where they list support groups. There are 3 in Puyallup. Most of these

are for gastric-bypass.

I went to the one at their home with my cousin who had GB. There was

another person who was banded there, but the meetings discuss mostly

GB. She also sells protein shakes, bars etc.... for GB patients.

-I don't know of a bypass support group in Puyallup but there is a

very good one at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland/Totem Lake area that

meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, I think in the Tan 100

conference room. They are meeting tomorrow night.-
