Welcome Andy, and congrats on getting your new band! If your questions are

only of specific interest to folks in the Pacific Northwest, you're in the

right place. If your questions are general banding questions, I'd like to

suggest that you post them on our parent list, SmartBandsters. That list is

for bandsters everywhere, and there are lots of great people there who are

good with helping new people.

Hi there

It is so fun to hear from people who were at the

seminars. I love seeing hope dawn on people's faces as

I share. I remember the feeling well.

Welcome to Bandlandia again.

Barb,

I was on SmartBansters for a while but even with the daily digests

edition it was impossible to follow threads I was interested in, plus

it clogged up my inbox with up to 5-9 huge " digests " .

Is there another list or group for people with bands in the PNW

that encourages social interation and questions, similar to how

SmartBansters functions, but on a local scale?

Thank you,

V

V, I'm not aware of a local list, unless there are local doctors that have

their own lists. (Does anybody here know?)

Smartbandsters can be very overwhelming with its volume, that's why I

recommend that people join it and set themselves to " web only " , and read the

posts on the groups website. No more clogging up one's mailbox. I have

several lists that I read that way, it really helps keep my own mailbox

under control.

V,

I have never been on SmartBandsters, but I am on DrNeals and

OregonBandsters both more local, but you may have the same problem

with the digest format. They are difficult to follow because if the

same subject line is use that was used 3 years ago, they are

automatically linked. If you sort by date instead of by thread, then

you can't see what is being repsonded too. It's tricky.

Good luck!
