Guest guest
Exercise 1: Steps for solution: 1. Data nature – measurement value n < 30 Population variance known2. Assumption normally distributed population sample drawn randomly3. HypothesisH0 = Mean Hb level in the given population is not different from 11gm/dL (µ=11)HA =Mean population level in the given population is different from 11gm/dL (µ≠11)4. Test of significance:"t-test for single population mean" (Since the sample size <30, small sample tests= t-test applied) Regards,Dr. Vijaya Chaudhari.JR-3,Dept. of Pharmacology,Government Medical College, Nagpur. From: Vijaya Chaudhari <vijugmc@...>netrum Sent: Sun, 3 October, 2010 11:15:16 PMSubject: Biostatistics: Exercise 2 Dear Members,Exercise 2. Mean Hb of 25 school children was observed to be 10.6 gm/dl with SD of 1.15 gm/dl. Is it significantly different from a mean of 11 gm/dl ?Which test will be applied here?
