Guest guest
Dear friends Payment schedules are confirmed in the contract for each site and are arranged by the sponsor. Subject payments for phase III and phase IV studies are related to the cost through study activity (e.g. blood tests, X-rays) and the time taken to perform that activity. In most studies, payments will be made on receipt of ‘clean’ data (i.e., once data have been received and all queries resolved for a specific visit). If the site is unable to meet recruitment targets it can have serious consequences. If recruitment targets are not met then the study site might not meet budgetary forecasts. If the center is unable to meet recruitment targets then this can also jeopardize future opportunities to participate in other trials managed by that sponsor. Crucially, from a scientific point of view, the inability to meet recruitment targets can lead to delay in completion of the study. Ultimately, this can impede the evaluation of new treatments. It is important to maintain regular contact with the sponsor throughout the study. Warm Regards Tarun Wadhwa The INTERNET now has a personality. YOURS! See your Homepage.
