Guest guest
Dear friends Now i begin with the another topic for discussion "Recruitment and Retention of Participants in Clinical Trials". It is a very important issue. We need to recruit right participants for right trial. It is the responsibility of the investigator to check the feasibility of the trial at a particular site whether they will be able to enroll that many number of participants as per the study protocol. Accepting clinical trial proposal and delay in recruitment may lead to consequences that can affect the status of investigator as well as health status of participants. Investigator should thoroughly read the study protocol (including need for the study, screening criteria, inclusion/exclusion criteria, risks and benefits of interventions, timeline for completion, disease condition under study, end points, study outcome etc) and then accept the proposal from sponsor if it satisfy all the criteria as per clinical experience. In my whole session, i will be discussing about following: · Introduction · Estimation of subject numbers · Methods of increasing recruitment rates · Funnel effect · Recruitment and study contract · Advertising guidelines in clinical trial recruitment · Compliance and retention · Exercise · Conclusion Warm regards Tarun Wadhwa The INTERNET now has a personality.
