Guest guest
I don't know if this price is for western WA state alone or whether it covers WA, OR etc. This is an excellent price for this variety of crab and I can attest to the basic deliciousness of it. I find as a properly filled bandster that I can consume 1/2 to 2/3 of a pound at a sitting with a little microwaved butter to dip it in. I'm going to have to clean out my freezer to make room for more of this, maybe even defrost my refrigerator freezer after less than 6 weeks to make sure it's working at top efficiency. One of these days, I shall weigh out a meal portion and then the shells alone to see what percentage is " waste " but when I can get a delicious meal for $3.50-$5 that has minimum clean up, I'm doing quite well. I think of this crab as the shellfish equivalent of filet mignon and I have never seen it for less than $11 a pound in last year.
