Guest guest
Dear Members, FACTORIAL DESIGNS The factorial design attempts to evaluate two interventions compared with control in a single experiment. Given the cost & effort in recruiting participants & conducting CTs, getting two experiments done at once is appealing. It is a complex design type. A concern is the possibility of the existence of interaction & its impact on the sample size. Interaction means that the effect of interaction X differs depending on the presence or absence of intervention Y, or vice versa. It is more likely to occur when 2 interventions are expected to have related mechanisms of action. Regards, Dr. Vijaya Chaudhari. JR-3,Dept. of Pharmacology, Government Medical College, Nagpur.
