Guest guest
Vijay's referance to Gandhian philosophy is compared to Kant's phiosophy which proposes that one's actions should be right in the first place irrespective of the consequences as opposed to 'utilitarian' philosophy which advocates 'greatest good for the greatest number'. To deliver ethical output of the research it is desired that all that goes in the research methodology must have sound scientific basis and should rest on the pillars of morality and ethics.Whether the animal studies or human trials, both must be ethical conducted. (Young breed kindly note that there are no animal trials or human studies. The nomenclature is specific.)Mahatma Gandhi was a strong proponent of "purity of means". Pure means alone can help in attaining "pure end" i.e. results. Corrupt practices, malpractices can not deliver ethical ouput in research.Dr Vijay Thawani >> Hi,> > For next over two months NetRUM will be discussing topics related to research methodology.
