Dear Members,

Histograms

are bar diagrams, where the areas (i.e. height and width) of the bars

are proportional to the frequencies in each group. These are especially useful for

frequency distributions of grouped data (e.g. age groups, grouped heights,

grouped blood measurements). For example, if you use age groups of equal range

(e.g. 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 years, etc.), then the width of each bar is equal,

and if the 21-30 years age group has a frequency of 30, while the 31-40 years

age group has a frequency of 60, then the former group is exactly half the

height of the latter.
