Design methods deal

with the methods of collecting data scientifically. The role of statistics is

not restricted to analyzing data, but also involves planning the study

scientifically and executing it properly.

It covers study

design, sampling and sample size, data collection methods.

But since the ‘sample size calculation and power analysis’

was already covered in the previous segment of this e-workshop by Dr. Smita

Mali, so the said topics will remain untouched in this segment.
