Guest guest
Here is the other one. Again, just delete it when it comes through again. Unless of course you think I'm getting paid for this. In that case, just delete now. By the way, I do know of three people that came very close to death due to complications from a bad gallbladder. All three developed severe pancreatitis. And no, I DON'T say that to scare anyone. But you cannot make an across the board statement that nothing bad *could* happen. Anything can happen, and it's up to each of us to pay attention to our body's warning signs and act upon them appropriately.<< Well said, . I believe that sometimes people are afraid to look at those cases. The fact is, it CAN kill you. That being said, I don't think that any of the people on this list are to that point, because they are doing their best to take care of the problem (as did you and I) and I think that when it starts getting to the point where it is dangerous, most people somehow know. There were nights when I literally felt like something inside my body was going to explode. And, truth be told, they do occasionally rupture, and it can kill you. HOWEVER, if you have no fever, and show no signs of jaundice, then you are not in a life-threatening situation, just a painful one. My GP was not in any hurry for me to have mine out, because I just had pain. But for the last several months, I would lie practically naked by an open window (in New Hampshire), and I could not get cool. Then I began throwing up, which was new. This was not just a reaction to the pain, which is normal for some people. I would throw up after the pain was subsiding. The pain was becoming more and more frequent, and worse. At the rate I was going, I know I would have ended up in emergency surgery. Like I said before, I am grateful I did it before I damaged my liver. BUT, this was MY scenario. I am certainly not implying that this is how it will go for everyone. I am glad I tried to keep it, I am glad for all I learned, and I am glad it's gone. When I think of how this affected my life, regardless of what I tried to do, especially in the past year, I almost wish I had had it done earlier. My time with my kids is precious, and I lost too much of it to pain and Percoset. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
