Guest guest
Dear members Other important sources of morbidity information are: Population screening: This provides another source of morbidity information for diseases for which comprehensive screening programmes exist. This systematic investigation of a whole population or a high risk subpopulation to identify those who could benefit from treatment provides a basis on which to estimate the overall levels of the disease. E.g. the UK operates national screening programmes for cervical and breast cancer. Again, not all women will take up those tests and many are not eligible because they do not fall within the target age groups.
