Guest guest
Hi there. I have just started CRing this week though I've studied about it for over 2 years. I'm very confused about the correct amount of weight to lose and/or calories to eat. I've read through several posts and links but have more questions that maybe some of you could help answer. I am female, 31 years old, 5'3 1/2 and slightly overweight according to my " ideal " weight. If I lose up to 30% (as I've seen recommended) of my " set " weight (where my body gravitates and plateaus), I would end up weighing between 80-90 pounds. If I lost up to 30% of my " ideal " weight, it would put me in the 70ish pound category. This doesn't seem healthy and my family would definitely think I had an eating disorder. This would be around 600- 800 calories a day I'm estimating. I would just like some solid advice before I take this too extreme which I know would cut down on my quality of life which really defeats the purpose. I don't want to end up in the hospital in the name of longevity. Also, is there a point where a person can start to lose too much weight and negate the good that CR does for the body? For instance 1- 2 glass of wine has benefits while 3-4 can have risks. Just would like some advice... Thanks!! K.P.
