Hi Helen,

I used to take flushes during week-end days, too. Usually,

on the flushing day, I was not eating at all, but drinking

apple juice. And later, in the afternoon, my metabolism

slowed down. I felt cold, and needed to rest. I used to

watch TV. I was not able to read. I used Epsom salts, or as

you know, magnesium sulfate, or Bitter Salts. But my aunt

uses a tea that is a laxant-not for flushing purposes. So, I

guess you can find a laxant tea in your area. It is

mentioned to take 3 cups of water and mix with 4 spoons of

Epsom. So, I guess you may take the same amount of water,

and prepare a laxant tea. And just follow the steps. I never

had any pains during flushes. Really no big deal. But I

advise you to rest, and be gentle to yourself. Good luck,

Simon
