Hi Ben,

You asked for more proof that Horsetail worked. I had no proof except my own experience which is why I did not answer your query.

Well I have found a snippet of information which may help your belief. "The Traditional Uses of Herbs" by Hilde Hemmes published by the "Australian School of Herbal Medicine". www.herbalsupplies.com.au/school.htm

Email: hildehemmes@...

Hilde Hemmes states this:

HORSETAIL: Equisetum arvense

"Contains minerals and is recommended in anaemia and general debility. Regarded as an excellent astringent for the genital and urinary systems. Very handy in the treatment of fluid retention, cystitis, incontinence and bed-wetting in children. Use for haemorrhoids and internal bleeding. Use for white spotting broken nails and lifeless hair. ITS SILICA CONTENT ENCOURAGES THE ABSORPTION AND USE OF CALCIUM BY THE BODY, GUARDING AGAINST FATTY DEPOSITS IN THE ARTERIES. Externally, horsetail poultices aid the healing of wounds, ulcers and skin eruptions."

As some of us now know, fatty deposits can also end up in the liver and gallbladder too!

It's all I have for now. Will post more info as it comes to hand if you would like.
