How low is too low? It depends on your clinical circumstance, such as in

treatment or after treatment . and also the type of treatment.

Scheduling a work up is prudent if you begin to bruise easily and it's not

expected - such as when not undergoing treatment. Thrombocytopenia has

other causes, including lymphoma progression in the marrow, spleen

enlargment, but also from a type of autoimmunity called ITP - when the

immune system destroys the platelets.
