Guest guest
Too bad our culture is so obsessed with wrinkles and skin aging, instead of health and the obesity epidemic. In some other cultures (Okinawa for one) age and experience are revered rather than something to hide. Of course dermatologists and plastic surgeons have everything to gain from promoting these procedures, as well as appearing on tv in all these " makeover " programs. on 4/1/2005 7:53 AM, Logan at loganruns73@... wrote: > > Damage Control ; Time Takes Its Toll, But It's Not Too > Late to Slow Skin Aging > > The Record, Bergen County, NJ > > 31 Mar 2005
Guest guest
Hi Francesca: Yes. In our culture round-faced people are usually thought to be healthy! Slim-faced people are presumed to be ill. I suppose, if the only people capable of maintaining a healthy weight are those that are ill, that might make sense. Someone recently informed me that I have " aged dramatically " in the past twelve months, after dropping my BMI from 24.6 to 22.3. Gosh, just imagine how young I could appear at a BMI of 30!
