Guest guest
Hello all, I looked in pubmed for any article that suggested that Retin A (prescription cream) could cause such long term damage that surgery was needed to ameliorate the problem. Nothing of the sort was available. At least for many pages. I suspect that the plastic surgeon who posted this case was in need of work. Retin A seems to be very effective against photoaging as well as acne. One needs to dose carefully. Usually after one year the skin desensitizes and tolerance goes up considerably. And direct sun exposure on the parts treated is highly discouraged. Just wished to share my research, best to all! MM
