In my recent fascination with the flavanol content and possible bennies of cocoa (not to mention how much I really enjoy chocolate and would like any excuse to eat about an ounce/day), I have been doing much reading on chocolate, and it seems to me some recent studies have found it to have neutral effects on cholesterol all by itself (no sunflower seeds necessary). I did searches for cocoa and chocolate in the archives and there is not much, so I don't feel too bad starting up this self-serving thread. Not having access to the scientific publications, I would very much like to see what the experts on this list can dredge up and what the majority of the papers have to say. Here is an article, granted from an industry website, which references some of the positive (actually neutral) studies: http://www.chocolateinfo.com/sr/sr_article_11.jsp Thanks, -
