My daughter started taking Thyroid supplements and in one week turned

completely around. She stopped a month later and found that she sunk

back into her tireness. Now she is back on the supplements and finds

tremendous energy.

I'm saying:

But, the thyroid function is connected to and dependent

upon the liver function. In TCM the liver is regarded as

the master gland, all others rely on it for optimal

performance, and a dysfunctional liver will take its toll

on the other organs, commonly the thyroid and pancreas,

which then become inappropriate " targets " for treatment,

bringing this type of inappropriate result--one of creating

a new dependency because the root cause at the liver is

not being identified and addressed.

Tiredness in anybody should be suspect of thyroid,

but not excluding by relationship to the condition of

the liver. Think of the liver as an oil pump that, due to

mishandling and use of improper fuel and irregular

maintenance, is not getting proper lubrication to an

engine's various parts, so they start to malfunction.

Treating the secondary organs would be like if you

started hand-lubricating those wearing parts at regular

intervals in an attempt to make up for the faulty

performance of the pump, rather than fixing the pump

itself. It would help--but, only for as long as you

continued to hand-lube them. You'd be better off

to clean and maintain and properly fuel the engine,

because as much as you hand-lube those parts, you

can probably not match the smooth and predictable

delivery of a properly-functioning oil pump, and

wear to the engine parts will, inevitably show up,

accordingly, despiteyour best efforts to try. (I'm

not a mechanic, so that might be a poor analogy, but,

hopefully, you get the drift of what I'm saying.)

Congratulations on starting a journey into understanding about true health.

After you start seeing the

improvements in people just from dealing with the congestion in their

gallbladders & livers, you may elect

to carry the concept further. For instance, the natural hygienists make a darn

good case that changing

one's diet, getting more rest, and dealing with bodily toxins goes far toward

de-congesting the thyroid

gland and allowing it to once again secrete as it should. Many of them point

toward undigested starch as a

major culprit when it gets into the bloodstream and then floats around until it

obstructs bloodflow into

various organs. It seems the simple answer is to cut out all breads and

anything else made with flour,

along with all other starches.

Rex Harrill

Yes, Diane I was going to write to you about the same

problem as Ken is telling you. The other problem can

be due to being anemic. Check your blood for red

cells.
