Hi Maddie, and welcome to our group ...

I agree with Carlene. If you are under the care of a doctor & have been placed on medication, it is "best" to check with him before dropping any of them. Keep your doctor informed of how you are feeling on your present meds.

I took myself off my meds due to how they made me feel, but that is not a wise move. Maybe I didn't stay on them long enough to give them a fighting chance, I really don't know, but I do function better without them. I did quit my job so am able to rest more, and I walk with a friend (when the weather is NOT cold), which actually gives me more energy. When the body aches are too much for me to deal with I use 800 Motrin (I have a high pain tolerance, so this works for me). I use Requip for RLS, and "Simply Sleep" for those nights when sleep just will not come.

Dom's website was a lifesaver for me. She was so wonderful to answer all my questions, and I had many. Some I must have asked her 3 or 4 times due to "fibro fog" forgetfulness, but she patiently re-answered.

Fatigue for me is most often brought on by stress. Getting rid of stress is a #1 priority for me in controlling pain & fatigue. I worry over my problems, my kids problems, my family's problems, and my friend's problems. I have the kind of nature that likes to "solve" problems, I guess.

The EXTREME pain in my feet stopped after I quit my job. I am guessing it was due to standing on my feet for 8 hours a day.

I hope you find the answers you need to help you feel better. Being on this site has helped me to know that I'm not alone, and I'm not going crazy, I'm not making this pain, fatigue, memory loss, etc., all up ... you are not alone, and your illness is real.

Good luck, and God bless.

We warmly welcome you to our friendly, informative group, Maddy. A prolific amount of information is shared in our group. Either from personal experiences, or gleaned from credible, relevant sources. I can understand you feeling overwhelmed with the "brain fog" - this happens to us all.

Since you want to start out fresh... you could post questions about the symptoms that are of most concern to you. Expect to receive replies! You mentioned that you are taking "so many drugs." I am not on CFS/Fibro medications, myself. But, if I were on meds I would not tamper with them. Even if I thought they were causing my fatigue. It is important to call your Physician or Health Care Professional when you want to make changes to meds, dosages etc.

Also, improved nutrition can help chronic fatigue sufferers feel better. I found this out through my own experiences. I hope you start feeling less fatigued, soon. Take care ... enjoy!
