, I really feel for you, I always try to look at the glass as half full, not half empty, even living like I do. Try to always look up and see something wonderful from anything you may be looking at, thinking, talking, something, afterall what are the alternatives? I commend you for your attitude and humor that you've shown here. You've made many of us laugh, which we so desperately need, so you've been a positive figure for us and I know for me! People don't understand our illnesses and are ignorant to what we have, because "we don't look sick". Stop trying to convince them, it doesn't get you anywhere, just take care of yourself.

Here's an example of something I just did because the option of not having it would have been depressing and worse on me. Every New Years Day since I've been born it has been tradition to have the family get together and enjoy my mother's homemade Lasagna, regardless of anything. So for 49 years I've had Lasagna on New Years Night. First, of course, my mother made it yearly and all the families went to her house even as the families grew and we all had kids. Since she's been gone, (20 yrs) I've made the lasagna and last year I struggled so badly through making it but still, we had it. This year, I absolutely cannot make it for various reasons, but it does take lots of time to prepare it like I do. This year I've had to order some trays from my italian meat market and have it catered, but at least it will be on my table tomorrow night. The point is, don't give up regardless of what

position you're in, there is always light. Try to make the best of every situation, even if, llike me, most of the time it's in bed, even just thinking positively goes a long way. I don't think I'd be getting through my illness if it weren't for positive thinking and positive outlook. The worse anyone can do is listen to the negativity from others.

Have the most joyous New Years, wish I could have you here for the day and as always, my football is on! Love to you and all! /FL

I'm so greatful that my italian market was able to take my order this morning and have it filled by this afternoon. This tradition died down when my mother passed and I don't see my family and haven't in years with the exception of my neice's wedding, so I don't have the traditional dinner with my siblings. I have made my own tradition and make it myself for my kids and husband and have done that for the past 20 yrs, since my mother passed. I don't have a relationship with my siblings and it's best that way.

Happy New Year and try not to get too drunk but have fun. R/FL

For me both parents have passed away, I don't have a relationship with my brother, my FIL had a major stroke this year and my MIL has MS and can't do much for herself. This year didn't feel much like a Christmas especially with the added sadness of our cat passing away. For tonight it is just the 2 of us and he is playing his X-Box game LOL. I just wanted to wish you all a healthy and happy 2010!!!Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Wireless NetworkFrom: <bookie0415@...>Date: Thu, 31 Dec 2009 21:16:43 -0800 (PST)< >Subject: Re: Re: [fibro-reW./Hello, this is how I feel today., 12/31/2009, 8:00 am I'm so greatful that my italian market was able to take my order this morning and have it filled by this afternoon. Same to you ...my husband is snoring away in the bed next to me while I watched the ball drop in Times Square and couldn't hear anything because of the snoring, lol. My daughter is at some party and my son is here downstairs, but he is leaving for school next week and my daughter is never here. Basically, like you it will just be the two of us as well and he's in bed by 8 or 9 since he gets up so early.

We can commiserate together when lonely, lol. Happy New Year R/ FL

I am sorry you had a sad year . 2009 wasn't too good for me either. But if we all stick together we can make 2010 a better year for all of us on here.
