Hi there

Welcome back! I'm so glad you had a good time and you managed to get a break from the kids! As much as you enjoy being with them, it's so re-energising to have time away too!!

Hello, all as some of you know I disappered for a few days. Me and hubby(Rusty) went to the mountains for our anniversary(7yr). We had a great time. My mom kept the kids and things went smooth. I am so glad I decided it was time for a reality break.

So what did I miss anything new. I saw that Tammyzhe started the book club I will be there soon.

Oh , our babies are growing so fast..22months already. So do tell what you plan on getting the kids for there b-day. I need some ideas. I have thought of a convertible coupe with the adult push thingy on the back.Dayton still cruising some but still not enough balance to let go but for a second. How is Landon coming along?

Keep in touch.

Hi ,

Welcome Back! I'm playing e-mail catch up today! I

posted a message at the club asking and you the

same thing about birthdays. I'm thinking about a

personalized Barney tape. You send in your childs

picture and it puts it on the video in an interactive

story. Kind of like personalized books. Maybe a

ballpark. We got the cars for Christmas. They have so

much now that it is hard to figure out what to buy.

Probably just a family party for now, still not sure

though. Almost 2, I'm so sad! They are growing up so

fast. mom to Landon (Ds) and Ashton 21 months

Welcome back, Ayosdi! We had a good weekend, and glad you did, too.

I just wanted to share that I'll be bringing my digital camera to our

gathering next month (next month ... wow! It's coming up so quickly!). I

wish that I had remembered to take my camera last year, but now that we have

a good camera I'm really excited to bring it. I'll be able to shoot some

photos for our CNY Soapmakers Web page, maybe, if you guys want? Depends on

how they turn out, though, I guess! :-)

Maggie,

Sorry to hear about your sugury, but glad you are feeling okay.

When you go back to the weights, don't be afraid to lower them, a

lot! The most important thing, right now, is being able to finish

the whole routine. You have to get that feeling of completion to re-

inspire you. Your weights will go up quickly, so you will not be

loosing ground.

Be gentil with yourself until you are sure you can handle it.

We are finally back. Good to get away.

Friday my drs appt went better than I thought it would. She is in the process of running the following blood work: Sed rate (the only thing she would run to check inflammation), Vitamin D level (she said that problem typically didn't run in caucasian women), and CBC. She wasn't very happy that I had stopped medication because of not wanting to foul up blood work, but she did understand why. After her examination she told me that I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis. Her first instruction was to exercise, her second one was for me to lose some weight (at a little over 200 lbs, yep, gotta do that), and then she said we were gonna change medications. I still am to take the Cymbalta, but I am also going to take Lyrica 50 mgs 2x daily, 5 mgs of flexeril 1x daily on good days and on bad 2xs daily (Once this current flare up is under control, will try to stretch that to every other day), and I am down to 1 mg of ativan at bedtime (had that accomplished before seeing her). I am also going to start Flonase for the sinus problems and she had no problem with me taking the Mucinex as needed.

She did seem a bit confused as to how many docs I was seeing and what I was seeing them for, so I think I need to have my psychiatrist and my current rheumy send her update letters so that she has them in my file. I try to make sure that all of my docs have permission to talk to each other, but I fear there has been a breakdown of communication somewhere.

She also wasn't happy that I was depending on the nicer weather to start exercising, will have to figure something out there.
