Guest guest
Turk, If you mean Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia or ARVD that is what my 16 year old son was diagnosed with 7 months ago. That is why he had the ICD implanted. A very rare cardiomyopathy. It is the leading cause of sudden death in young athletes. Guest guest
Oh my... I will be praying and thinking. I don't recall ever hearing of anything like this, but something may come to me.E-coli in the urine of a baby girl in diapers might not be such an odd thing.... maybe it is a UTI and she is reacting badly because of the added stress of her heart. It's so very hard on un repaired kids when they get sick. Wonder if they checked for endocarditis too? The staph infection is pretty scary- hope it was a lab error. Keep us posted please and we will keep praying this turns out to be something easily fixed. Yesterday her blood counts all came back normal, not showing any type of bacteria. However, today her urine came back with a strain of ecoli (not the serious one) and her blood showed a staph infection. The peds dr thinks the blood could be a contamination problem so they have redrawn the blood. In addition, they have done an ultrasound on her kidneys this am. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Kris is worried b/c of her heart condition (VSD) and everytime her fever spikes her heart rate goes up dangerously high. 's cardiologist is on vacation this week. Her heart surgery is scheduled for 9/3. Currently she is being treated for a UTI with IV antibiotics. At first everyone thought it was a virus, but now these two results (blood and urine) with different bacteria nobody is certain what is going on. Please pray for 's healing and that the drs can figure out the source of this illness. Guest guest
Thanks Stacey, It is powered down. I am not sure if they still emit EMI's after they were just turned off. I have this fantastic new job and i have to carry the laptop everyday. The bag with the shoulder strap is very heavy so they just got me a new backpack. At first i was very happy but as soon as i put it on i took it off because i got scared what if it emits emis and i get shocked because i had just turned it off. Thats why i am asking. When it is inthe back back it is approximately 5 to 6 inches away from my back and i am assuming it makes it about 8 inches away from the ICD. Do you think it's ok that way? Guest guest
I think it is okay Turk. The new thought is 6 inches away. How old is your current ICD? But yes, you could call the mafgr. Guest guest
It;s the battery that would cause the problem, not the laptop itself. As in mst things run by battery, we have to keep it away from the ICD. GOT TO SEE UTAH Question Please I just got a backpack for my laptop. Then i thought of emi emissions for the ICD. I am also recovering from severe adrenal fatigue and am very fortunate to have a brave GP willing to help me get better. When I first answered your adrenal questionaire in Sept 08 my score was 2.48. I did the test again in June and it had improved to 1.69. I know that I am still far from full health but as I am recovering my desire to start exercising to try and lose some of this weight is increasing. However, I cannot find anything on the web suitable for my level of health and fitness. Do you know of anything please? I am trying to find out answers to these types of question: is it ok to exercise while recovering or do I have to wait until fully recovered? If I can exercise, what can I do and for how long? If you could point me in the right direction to answer these kind of questions it would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Sue No virus found in this incoming message.
