Being from Wisconsin we got the rain, sleet, snow combination on Sat to Sun. When it froze we got ice rinks where we don't want them... like the driveway. We managed to get into town yesterday to try to get some de-icing salt, but everyone is out until later in the week. This winter has been something else!

Pam! and everyone,

Here in Maine we are experiencing the same thing. Oh, I just hate winter. I took the poor dogs out and my little old Chihuahuas went right away but the pugs looked miserable. Lily hid under the porch. Hopefully we won't lose power. Jeff called from the office and said he slid about 15 feet through an intersection. Since the weather is worse I am praying he is safe on his way home. My DBT was cancelled so I am working on my Designs for the Expo this month.

Let me say it again.................I hate winter, storms {ow,ow,ow} and I cannot wait until we move South.

We were going to move to Savannah, then my disfunctional mother had huge issues with us going there and how much it cost. So we changed to Brunswick GA, the historic district. We even had a bid down on a house we were going to restore. Then things got worse for Nell and I was afraid that the move was not going to be good for her and we post poned it last year.

Now I am not sure. I love Savannah,ton,Beaufort and North Carolina. I adore the coast but we have talked about having a farm so the horses can live at home. I am not a new McMansion type of person. I love old homes. We looked at the Southern Pines area of NC but I think I want it even warmer year round.

ly at this point I am very confused. I do know I adore the South. Jeff is saying what I need is dry heat like Sedona. Sedona is breathtaking but what is around it is not.

Boy do I sound confused.

Sue,Our weather became awful as well! I knew it would! They called schools off that night,not even waiting until morning. Several,severe wrecks,etc...No wonder why I've been hurting so bad!! Even my jaw was killing me! I honestly thought I was going to have to drive myself to the ER in the middle of the ice storm,it hurt so stinking bad! Oh my! People who don't have Fibromyalgia just would never understand the MANY awful things we go through! But we must go through it, until the glorious day comes that they find a cure! And to know,as well,many people "Posing" to have Fibromyalgia makes me ill & very angry! Mostly due to them & the doctors who whimsically throw the diagnoses around like it's nothing,is why we are not taken seriously,as we very much should be! I've had & heard doctors

say,"Oh!,Everyone has Fibromyalgia!" Well,all of us here know that is simply not true!! If "Everybody" did have it,that doctor wouldn't be at work,haha!

Also,it's so funny you would mention having a chihuahua,I have one too! She went out & high tailed it back inside as soon as possible haha!!!! I pretty much knew she would haha. I'm trying to stay warm. You try to stay warm too! Thanks! Take care, Pam.S

Sue, I am familiar with Damariscotta. I still have family in York Beach and York Village, but I have traveled up and down through Maine numerous times. I think it is beautiful. I grew up in Massachusetts and left when I went off the college in Florida, never to return. And yet, I have always missed it. I usually visit New England during the summer each year.

As I have said before, the summer heat in the south drains me. But you might not react that way to it. Southern Pines is beautiful. I think we can be happy wherever we live if we just make up our minds to make due with whatever is there, see the pluses and not so much the minuses. So wherever you pick to live, you will be happy and thrive. I feel certain of it.
