<< I don't know whether food intolerances make gallstones or does having

gallstones give you

more food intolerances? still working on that one, but you'll definately

help yourself in

the short term by finding out which foods cause you pain. If, you want any

more info let me

know.

Good Luck bye from Jane.

Hi, Jane,

What food sets you off? I have found out for me that sometimes eggs set me

off, chocolate, and what used to be my favorite food, cheese. of course, I

don't usually have much any dairy anymore. Every so often I can eat a tiny

bit of grated up cheese on something, but I don't even do that very often. I

stay pretty close to Dr. Cabot's diet.

Hi, Jane,

It sure sounds like you have a lot of allergies to things. I really don't

have many allergies at all, so you need advice from someone who has this

problem. You can also write someone at Dr. Cabot's website and they can help

you. Dr. Cabot has many products out which contain stuff that could help

you, I believe. I wonder if it's possible that you have a bad toxic buildup

in your body. Anyone who decides to follow Dr. Cabot's diet is detoxing a

slow way. She says that it's actually safer on our bodies to do it this way.

As far as dairy products, you can't have them at all on her diet. Now, I

don't know that I'm allergic to cheese, but it just sometimes gives me an

attack in the GB, triggers it or something. And all the dairy products are

mucos producing, too.

I personally would write someone at her site. I'm sure that they could help

you.

Let us know what happens.

thanks,

susie

Dear Susie,

the foods that set my gb off are eggs, pork, onions, tomatoes and cabbage(the

very fibrous

type, not spring cabbage). I have been noticeably intolerant to wheat for about

twelve

years now, but that gives me stiff joints. dairy actually doesn't seem to cause

me any

symptoms, but I've always hated dairy anyway. I only have a very little skimmed

milk in

tea ( I have cut down to 4 cups a day now- don't ask how many I used to drink!)

and have

rice milk on my cereals.

I have just started to read all the stuff I printed out from Dr. Cabot's site,

it looks

very interesting. Could I try Taurine without Lecithin or Flaxseed, I'm not to

keen to try

them as I am sure they will give me a reaction- cowardly aren't I?

By the way, now for something almost completely different,

does anyone else suffer with itchy red rashes on their arms? it isn't hives,

it's too

small- it's like tiny red pinpricks. As I am feeling better my rash has been

getting

worse. Any ideas anyone?

Bye from Jane.

Dear Jane,

I'm responding privately as I was curious about your rash and reaction to

wheat. I have what's known as Celiac Disease - a malabsorption disease

caused by gluten in most grains. It can manifest in rashes such as you

described and you might want to take a look at the website. There of course

is a listserve to which I belong and it has been helpful. I don't subscribe

to all I read but one of the interesting things was that there is a higher

incidence of gallbladder.

Here are some sites you might want to check out.

www.enabling.org/ia/celiac/index.html

This can link you to endless possibilities! Good luck and I hope this helps

with your search for the cause of your rash. Just seemed to set off some

alarms for me.
